One Serious Question 23:36 - Aug 21 with 2883 viewskropotkin41

Set aside NW's brief and glorious reign.

Are we the most basket case club in English league football?

Some clubs have had bad spells, been down to the third tier; gone bust; even folded and come back as an AFC, but honestly we seem to be singled out for peculiar torture.

The only club I can think of that might have had it worse in recent years is Blackpool, but actually we've been nearly 25 years on the slide, and each new dawn turns to sh*t before our eyes.

Other clubs recover, they get over it. I know there's a plan in place, but gawd, if QPR were a f*cking horse they'd have shot it by now.

‘morbid curiosity about where this is all going’

Wimbledon spring to mind. Citeh in the 3rd division. Hereford wound up. Darlington gone.

There's always company in misery.

Remember how bad things seemed just before tango and cash took over? Well we’re in a worse position now.

We’ve gone full circle.

We are pretty mad.

But I think a lot of clubs feel like this, Leeds, Forest, Hull, Sunderland...

We are right up there ..

But to be honest its not boring is it?

Bollix to being a "mid Prem Team " just collecting cash and mediocrity or a top 6 Prem team sobbing when you lose a couple on the spin .

Its a rollercoaster , and when the good times roll around and we are all together ..its brilliant and goes down in legend , not just another trophy or promotion ........

Things do look a tad gloomy at present. Tony has jumped into a lifeboat and is disappearing over the horizon. But, in typical Tony luck he's about to run onto rocks.

I thank my lucky stars I don’t support Blackpool, Charlton, or Coventry.

We are rock bottom but still we have good company, sheff wed, norwich, ipswich and even stoke are just a couple of points away.

Provided we can win the next one! i must admit a 1-7 rout and a 0-3 loss at home doesn't set us up well for the next game.

Poll: Welcome to QPR Cifuentes! Are we happy?

Only since 1996 have we been a basket case , before that we were a forward thinking , exciting club to watch, from Jim Gregory , Rodney marsh, the 76 team to the El Tel team of the 80's , our stadium was so far a head of dumps like Stamford bridge , our sponsor was the bollox, our kits were unique , the plastic pitch , the hosting of the mcguigan fight , we were a very well run and most peoples 2nd favourite team,

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Hull or Blackburn are our closest competitors in the Basket Case Stakes. Some of their recent fcukwittery is of the highest density.
