The Wild Rovers Match Fred on 16:58 - Nov 3 with 2195 views | BrianMcCarthy | FT. I think that 1-0 is probably fair as we were poor for three-quarters and only L&L&L played well for us. Rangel ok, Bidwell had little to do. Scowen ok but left exposed by Luongo and Freeman to often. Midfield beaten, passing poor, Eze had an off-day, Wells too. Sideline also far too slow to make changes. Ironic that the goal game during our only decent period but we didn't really deserve much out of that. We have to be honest.

The Wild Rovers Match Fred on 17:01 - Nov 3 with 2130 views | vegasranger | Was on the Blackburn feed and they felt we were a very cynical, time wasting team from the off. Poor game and I can't see the point of Smith. How many fouls did he give in the short time he was on? Time to give Oteh a chance from the bench?

Here we go. In answer to your question, when the players in front of him are consistently poor - that's how it works - clearly - up until today, total madness to change a winning team. Even after today - stick with same 11 (barring injuries and Cameron being fit) - one of the reasons for the run is consistent team selection.
The Wild Rovers Match Fred on 17:08 - Nov 3 with 1990 views | CiderwithRsie | Bugrit and all that. I'd have happily taken a grim 0-0 for an away point and continuing the run of clean sheets, and I actually give McClaren some credit for dman near pulling it off. Especially since it is now November, traditional month of sh*te at QPR. I won't lose too much sleep so long as we learn from it.

I think qprd was answering my point about bringing Smith. Not about the starting eleven.

It wasn’t soft, it was pretty blatant and a stupid, unnecessary challenge. A real shame as game had 0-0 all over it until then which would have been a great result up there with Eze/Wells/Freeman all off the boil today

Fair enough , but up to today, you could say the same about Chair and still can about Smyth. As I said above, we can only play 11 + 3 and take 18, so always those that miss out. I'm happy with where we are - always going to lose/win games 1-0 in this div - some you deserve some not. Important thing now is to get back to winning ways v Brentford.

The Wild Rovers Match Fred on 17:04 - Nov 3 by Boston | He was on to defend a point. |
I’ll caveat this comment by noting I wasn’t at the match and hardly followed But we’re safe from relegation If we kept the status quo or went defensive, we could hold on for 1 point. If we go for the win and actually succeed, that’s 3 points (+2). If in doing so, we expose ourselves and concede, we get 0 points (-1 from base case). The point is that the upside (+2 points) is greater than the downside (-1 point) We’re not going down so we don’t need to cynically try to hold on for a point to keep ourselves safe Why not just go for it? Bring in bright etc It’s admittedly a bit simplistic of an analysis, but I don’t understand the negativity. We’re in form so why not have a go?

The Wild Rovers Match Fred on 17:14 - Nov 3 by Watford_Ranger | Would you drop Freeman or Pawel for him? I wouldn’t. |
No But he’s an explosive player who can lead a counterattack. If you want to drop deep and play cynically, he’s an outball with his temendous pace He’s nowhere near pav or Luke at the moment However he will be an important piece of our squad going forward . Pav is a free agent in the summer and Luke may be sold. Wouldn’t it be nice to give BOS some reps now so he’s ready to contribut sooner rather than later: He will only improve if he plays, and 15-20 minutes cameos will help him. But even putting aside The developmental angle, he’s good enough to play now and contribute.

Not asked of me I know, but if one was tiring or underperforming on the 70 min mark I would. Moreso for Pav than Luke based on the set piece reliance. Also Smith got stitched up a couple of times in the short time he was on - below average refs make a habit of believing that he's backing in when be clearly isn't.
