I could not agree more but that is the view of people like us. The Premier Leagues audience is made up in the most part by people who want to watch <insert club name here> regardless of the result.

I was playing a cricket match recently and positioned at square leg in the field, near the umpire. He was looking at his phone occasionally and we established that he was checking the Sheff Utd v Palace scores (he was Palace). I told him I was QPR and how “we don’t bother with that premier league nonsense anymore”. He righteously told me that “you would if you were in it”.

Anyway turns out he was a demon spin bowler and later in the game he got me out cheaply with a sort of leg-cutter caught behind. The B*stard!

One can successfully kicked down the road until they get relegated and have to figure out how to survive in League Two in a gigantic stadium with tiny crowds.

Seems like FV are only really interested in the hotel anyway. There's no profit to be made on a football club with £100m of debt.
