I’d quite like someone to ask him if he raised his concerns about our squads mental fragility when interviewed for the job.
Can’t get it out enough, with no option to get anyone out or bring anyone in not sure I see any upside beyond him absolving himself of any responsibility when we’re shit.
Not me guv, they’ve always been like this.
Doesn’t fill me with confidence.

All three of the coaches living together in a student house has got to be some sort of sitcom in waiting.

Before listening to that W12 episode I was sceptical about the "QPR manager needs to have a big personality" business, remembering Dave Sexton was quite reserved (if hard as nails). But I found that interview deeply uninspiring. What's his plan, his vision? He's just flat. I was glad when it was over so I wouldn't have to listen to him anymore - what must the players think. I'd rather the team talk was by Jack Supple judging by that.

How would he know of the squads mental state prior to dealing with them?

Friends with Beale. He also said after Fleetwood that other Championship managers last year watching what QPR did formed an opinion of the group - i.e. it's soft as sht.

I'm not totally convinced with Critchley but I'm willing to give him at least a few months in the job! The club didn't have a lot of choice when they appointed him having been left in the lurch. We all know he was the cheap available option.

Hear what you're saying, but surely there's a happy balance?

Constantly harping back to last season and how he's only had his thoughts concerning the player's weak mentality seems self serving to me.

Or put another way, in what way does it help him get the best out the squad he's got?

Is he more interested in preserving his reputation than anything else?

Appreciate it's a tough gig he's walked into and I'm not saying he's wrong about the players, just doubtful his public shaming approach is the best way of turning things around.

I thought he come across well tbh

He clearly thinks about his answers and doesn't want to say the wrong thing unlike PBBC who just chatted BS

That aside, doesn't exactly scream 'long-term'.

I guess it comes down to whoever the mnager is we're going to disagree with things he says.

No one is ever going to say just what we want to hear all the time.

I was mainly referring to the post Fleetwood debacle when everyone on here wanted someone to say something and then when they do it gets forensically pulled apart.
