Just home from a crawl in Richmond. The auto announcer said “ this is a (pause), District Line train (pause), to (pause), RICHMOND ! Found myself singing “ by May the tenth, Richmond has fell” Any others ?

There's a Clarence road in Chiswick and every time I go past it I get that Beastie Boys line, "Is your name Michael Diamond? No, it's Clarence", playing in my head.

Off Chiswick High Road there’s an Annadale Road. Without fail when I pass it I’m singing …
Oleanders growing outside her door Soon they're gonna be in bloom up in Annandale I can't stand her doing what she did before Leaving like a gypsy queen in a fairy tale
And for the rest of the day I’m shouting,
Whoa, no, Guadalajara won't do now!
If you know you know.

Wish I was making a more sophisticated contribution to this discussion but the ‘song’ currently buried deep inside my brain is the Pepto-Bismol ‘When you’ve got nausea, heartburn, indi-gestion, upset stomach, diarrhoeeeeaaahhh’ one off the telly. Starting to get a bit worried.

This is rather complicated but please bear with me. To begin with it assumes familiarity with the ‘You having a laff? He’s having a laff!’ catchphrase from the fictional ‘When The Whistle Blows’ dumbed-down ‘comedy’ show featured in Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s wonderful Extras series. Anyway, I’ve taken to visiting the equally wonderful Mr Falafel in Shepherd’s Bush Market before home games where I invariably order a ‘Medium No 5’ falafel for consumption on the way to the ground. I’ve now found myself muttering ‘You having a faLAFFel? He’s having a faLAFFel!’ over and over again until I’ve finished the damned thing (invariably covered from head to toe in a peculiar white sauce because they don’t always seal the bottom properly). Beginning to think I need help.

I love falafel and have had it all over London. I think Mr Falafel's is definitely the best. That it's Palestinian falafel is a bonus for me.

Had this stuck in my head for over a week
Over a week you say. I’ve had it lodged somewhere in my hippocampus since I first heard the tune back in 1978(?) Still to this day if I see anyone in camo or an army green jacket I’m singing in my head, Love is all I bring - Inna mi khaki suit and ting!
Edit: maybe just my ears but that remaster has polished some of the magic out of the tune - especially in the intro - has less pop an less style
…. compare and contrast

I get up at 5.30am every saturday to listen to 'Sounds of the 60's with Tony Blackburn. it's a comforting back to childhood thing for me which is my only real time of solitude in the week.
Anyway , Angela Griffin is on before tonys 6am show and she played this track which has been transfixed into my ganglia all week. non stop.
first time he played it live. On the howard stern radio show.
