I shave about once a week cause im a lazy sod, so I usually look like a homeless person come the end of most week's
Also, it's not the 50s any more so no one cares.
Most people now in their sweat pants and hoodies look like they're homeless regardless of means. Incredible to look at old photos of previous generations of my family from the 30s to the 60s, all dapper and nicely togged up in their whistles etc. And none of them were especially well off. Everyone can probably say the same.

On the rare occasions that I shave I still use the shaving soap that comes in a wooden bowl, a natural bristle brush and a Gillette Blue II. Had that shaving soap for about 15 years now, still going strong. Never found a better blade than the Blue II either. That combo gives me a super smooth shave and costs eff all. Plus I'm well eco friendly compared to you cants using aerosol foam!
I once tried old school by using my dad's brush with Imperial Leather soap. My face suffered death by a thousand nicks and for an hour was drier than a nun's chuff.

I shave about 3 times a week. For the last 25 years I've used bic disposables (sensitive skin ones ...I'm not a I'm not a complete heathen), and they are absolutely fine. I get 4 or 5 shaves out of every one.
Don't fall for the marketing!

Effing brave using that stuff! I'm reliably informed Putin was talked out of using it for the more humane frog poison on his enemies.

Get yourself a safety razor and some packs of razor blades and you'll save yourself a fortune.
This is the one I use. They're not made in China like everything seems to be these days, they're made in Sheffield and it's a great razor. Costs just under thirty quid, pack of blades are cheap as chips and you're not contributing to landfill like you do with a razor with 'disposable' blades.

That's 780 razors over 25 years for anyone wondering.
