Bennie is not a winger, as we saw once again here.
He could play as a striker, as his movement is good and he seems to score when given chances.
But he's not a winger, so there is no point playing him there. Should have played Smyth from the start on the right. I suspect he's blown his chance now anyway and will be the person changed out for the next game.
RND will now possibly be a little less arrogant after getting done like that and concentrate on defending a bit more. Mgbenue is a little lucky that they imploded, as now he can sneak his way back into the team.
Hayden may also be changed out for Morgan, as at least Morgan runs around a lot.
When's Chair, Burrell and the mythical Poku/JCS back?

It’s hard to remember a home game where everybody was so utterly useless.
I’m expecting a steady decline into the bottom half until the sun feels warm on their backs sometime in March and they’ll make a recovery taking us just close enough to the top six for us to think ‘if only’.

Really good write up as usual Clive and I'm surprised you rated anyone above a four tbh.
There were points where I just laughed at how hopeless we were as we seemed to have completely abdicated having a midfield and Blackburn just seemed to just be quicker, stronger and it's trite but just wanted it more.
The substitution debacle really made me wonder what the hell the management team are doing as it just seems so inept and I cant imagine it fills you with confidence as a player.
But what's the alternative? Sack the manger in the summer and start again, keep the faith and hope Julian is learning? It's all very discouraging... | | | |

Thanks Clive good report “a painful watch summed up my thoughts sitting there from 1-3 down..interesting the pitch contributing to the injuries every week it looks worse. I confess I am not an expert on pitch preparation but the watering before and at half time looks excessive. Morgan Bennie and Kolli really need more game time here or somewhere else as they looked rusty. And could not agree more why Stéphan did not make the changes at HT ? Any one else notice Norrington Davies was done before the first goal went in and early in the game they seemed to be targeted that side. Also had we taken the 2 good chances earlier in the game we might have made more of a game of it…a bad day at the office all over the pitch. | | | |

Very frustrating series of results against the weaker teams which shows how reliant we are on key players such as Chair and Burrell. Unless we get them back soon I suspect we will have a very disappointing end to the season.

He’s one that would have benefited massively from 6 months with Stevenage. Like Morgan at Luton.
That was the chat in December.
Instead we’ve got ourselves into a position where they’re both having to play, and they’re not ready.
Ideal position now is Bennie is at Stevenage, Morgan is at Luton and Kolli is at Wycombe and it’s sunk or swim time with a view to being first choice in August. We risk killing them using them as we are now.
It’s been obvious since August that the fitness, strength and conditioning of the squad is not where it should be, and it’s putting the manager in a really tight spot short term, and harming development prospects long term. | | | |

It’s been a problem since Warburton left really. We don’t take care of the football, Nick. And therefore when we’re meant to dominate and dictate against a poor side we can’t do it.

Why don’t our players (with the exception of Madsen) ever seem to improve ?
That’s our whole ethos. Our whole business model as a club.
Our long term survival relies on players improving .
So those you just mentioned should be out on loan, improving and learning . Not being ‘killed’ as you say by having to play in this injury shambles.
So many questions that need asking and not “why haven’t we got a store in Westfield?!!!”
But the slightly older players like Dembele, Saito, Varane, just as examples… why don’t we improve players like this ?
