FIFA are in serious danger of turning this tournament into the Eurovision Song Contest of football. You could accept a bit of politicing in the host nation bidding although Jack Warner tore the arse out of it and should do bird. Overturning on the pitch decisions is a completely different kettle of fish though has set a dangerous precedent. |  | | |

And from memory we did at the time. I certainly was mortified by their behaviour and certainly wouldn’t make any excuses for them.

Clearly fell out of his pocket and into his hand by accident, just as the cheating little sh1t was lamping someone, and the ref was merely showing all and sundry that he'd caught the card to allay any fears that he'd lost it.

Yes all over YouTube with a few different angles of the scumbag first dragging a player down by the neck then flat out punching another Spanish player who ran in to help.
Most bizzare thing ever Spanish players lying on the ground celebrating ,others kneeling together hugging and this carnage going on .
Lets be brutally honest the only reason Parades was not sent off during that second half was the fact Fernandez was already given his marching orders there was now he was bringing them down to 9 it was a free hit and they knew it.

Look, we all know what the Argies are like, but let’s not get too high and mighty.
Bellingham slapped one of their morons after we’d lost (fair and square, I might add) but I don’t remember us rumbling on about that.
And let’s not forget the antics of our very own scummy fans at Euro 2020 (21) busting into their own show stadium and taking the seats off proper fans who’d paid to get in. Quite honestly, we shouldn’t be hosting another major football tournament for another 60 years after that and yet we’re getting an opportunity to do the same 7 years on and with home advantage, will probably win it.
I’m a proud Englishman but we’re top dogs when it comes to fouling up football tournaments.

The Bellingham incident was provoked by an idiot player who wasn't even on the field getting in the faces of our players after they scored. Very different to the systematic cheating and thuggery/nastiness, aided by some extremely suspect officiating, that Argentina employed during the tournament. Martinez didn’t start against us either. Was a bit surprised Simeone didn’t start the Spain game and he made a difference when he did come on.
More likely than any conspiracy is they just had a bit of a barney in the dressing room. Maybe the players disagreed with the tactics and wanted to have more of a go. Messi might as well have not played for the first 89 minutes so I could understand a team with a fair amount of ability and experience feeling that clinging on for a 0-0 wasn’t a great idea and any conspiracy theory would surely be debunked by the ridiculous disallowed goal. | | | |
