| New Kit 2026/27 on 20:46 - Jun 13 by Steiner | That's only particularly relevant if we're aiming for the home kit to be "fashion ware" - that quite simply just doesn't happen for smaller teams - we're not Juventus or whichever bullshit nothing club have signed Messi/Ronaldo this year, so it's broadly irrelevant. Great, 4 million views on a video where the kit is shown briefly, I don't believe this translates to sales because there's a giant 'kin MSPaint logo in the middle of it, plus it's not a "fashionable" kit, period. It's marketing by and for people who don't understand what QPR are. |
200k views in 2 hours. If 1% of those people buy a shirt when they didn't before that's 2k shirts, worn by people away from QPR, generating awareness of QPR. Again, I'm not a fan of the approach, but it's consistent with the Barcelona Principles which are used to measure marketing effectively. One of them is Focus on Outcomes Over Outputs. That means looking at the second level effects and a common topic of conversation I have with organisations trying to prove the value of their work. Yes some of us are annoyed but we'll forget and they'll increase brand and sales of shirts.

But why would 1% of people buy the shirt from that video if they don't already have any interest in QPR?

It’s brand advertising. It’s not trying flog kits. They don’t even make reference to the kits specifically.

| New Kit 2026/27 on 21:17 - Jun 13 with 2246 views | 100percent | Going to buck the trend here, but I think its a really smart marketing ploy. Very different approach bringing the club right up to date. I also like both the kits from what I can see of them. As pointed out earlier in the thread, probably not aimed at the age demographic that frequent this message board but I don't understand the grumpier element being so negative about it... I think It's different and its smart. | | | |

| New Kit 2026/27 on 21:22 - Jun 13 with 2173 views | numptydumpty | Got to say it looks very LGBTQ+ - the away kit. One for the diversity crowd me thinks but then the contradiction is Mr Q Casinos. Terrible sponsor name on there, looks like its a top that is probably used elsewhere by a naff childrens entertainer !!! From my viewpoint this is the worst kit we have ever brought out. Everything about it is wrong and because of the colour, all that stands out is the stupid sponsor name. Wonder if anyone will like it. Cant even see the young ones liking this.... | New Kit 2026/27 on 21:23 - Jun 13 with 2175 views | BushRanger82 | Anyone would think it was the hardest thing in the world, to design a QPR kit to the classic design of the shirts we had in the 60s and early 70s. Pink last season, lilac this season. I shudder to think of the mess they've made of this season's home shirt. | | | |

I have no problem with trying to 'grow the brand' by using these Youtubers. Just think its a cr@p way of launching the new kits

| New Kit 2026/27 on 21:32 - Jun 13 with 2034 views | Hooparoo | Fcking awful. I’ve seen so many better mock up kit designs from fans over the years so here’s a novel idea. Why not properly engage your fan base by asking for design ideas, pick the best 5 then have an online poll and let the fans vote for their favourite. | |
