I was lucky enough to be given a load of old QPR footage from QPR fan Rik Anstee so am slowly putting it all online, a lot of games that I don't think have been seen before likes of South Shields, several games against Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd from the 70's, a 6-1 cup win over West Ham.
I'll keep them all on the same thread but going to be putting up one a day over the next few weeks.
First one is from 1968, our second ever win in the top flight against Sheffield Wednesday

I think the Forest game referred to was on 23/11/68, which was out third win of the season. Our next victory was in our last home match, against Stoke!
The best we played was in consecutive games with Leeds & Tottenham where we were brilliant. We lost both though!

sadly no, only other game I've got from 68/69 is away at Arsenal, just need to fix the sound on it and will get that online next week

That was an evening.Guilty as charged for being the bloke who was using the aerosols all over our end, 'cept when I let Vic have a turn.
Edit...there are highlights out there, maybe just the goals though. It's a crappy, grainy vid but.

what a night that was..... a mate of mine got nicked that night, got a year in winson green, his third consecutive arrest at villa park.....some people never learn.
I remember that match well. It was the first season my grandad took me. We both had season tickets for the school end. I seem to remember my season ticket a thick booklet of tear off match ticket coupons and a couple of cup tie coupons too.
Rally round the drum. Beat the Clock - 6d a ticket and oh the toilet rolls on the pitch!

Looks like we may have a contender ourselves. There’s a Bert Arnold who apparently played for QPR in the 1910’s. I found a photo of the 1918/19 side on some Facebook page with Bert sitting down in the front row on the right. Looks very young, but quite formidable. Interesting shirts.
