As it stands he can’t be registered in their squad for the league until January. Despite being born here, he grew up in Luxembourg and got a few international caps for them before switching back to England. FIFA or whoever decides these things have deemed his transfer to be an illegal purchase of a minor which is probably a well-intentioned policy but sounds kind of insane in this case.
