It was a big birthday for me in June and my girls bought W12 hospitality and a stadium tour for me. We picked the Preston game mainly because it seemed a safe bet to avoid a time change for TV.
Without wishing to appear big-headed I've been fortunate through work to do quite a lot of corporate hospitality, but in my 50 odd years of watching Rangers I've never been behind the scenes.
Firstly the stadium tour was very good. Think it was £15 so pretty good vfm. Apparently the same bloke - Alan does each tour, local guy and very knowledgeable, seen Rangers at White City and had lots of stories. Really enjoyable and highly recommended - changing rooms, Amit's corporate box, media room, out to the dugout amongst other stuff.
Bumped into Andy Sinton at the end of the tour, what a great ambassador he is. Clearly he had a busy schedule hosting the 67 players and family before commentating duties but nothing was too much trouble for him, had time to chat to everyone, pose for photos etc - absolute credit to the club.
The W12 restaurant was very enjoyable, relaxed and quite informal. Food was good and the staff were very friendly, attentive and chatty. Rodney was a special guest and was in good form - typical Rodney forthright, confident and with a good story or two - certainly no shrinking violet!
Seats were in the Central area behind the directors and leg room was good! The game has been described well enough elsewhere, all i can say is that Smyth's goal was celebrated as wildly in that area as elsewhere in the ground. We sat behind Lee Cook and his family.
After the game the restaurant was open for about an hour and Paul Smyth came in to talk about his goal, joked he'd already shanked one shot and came across as a really decent, humble and modest bloke.
Appreciate the W12 is not a cheap option, but anyone looking to do something special then I highly recommend it. The second half was probably the icing on the cake.

I did the stadium tour a while back and we were shown the executive boxes which overlooked the pitch. All well and good and you'd think it was the ideal venue to wine and dine your clients while watching the match below you.....but no, it's not.
The catch is that some jobsworth has pointed out that it's illegal to drink alcohol while in sight of the pitch, even from behind a glass window. As such, the curtains in the executive boxes are pulled over during the match, to allow the corporate entertainment to continue in the box for those who wish to remain in there after kick-off. The match can be followed by such guests on a TV screen though, but I'm sure that's not the experience they might have hoped for! |  | | |

The guide mentioned that some people prefer to wafch the match on the TV whilst sat in the box which he couldn't understand why but alcohol may indeed be the answer to that question. | | | |
