Yet to receive a call up by Argentina at any International level.

Meanwhile, Wigan's Franco Di Santo has been called up to the first team squad.

I'll just leave that to sink in for a minute.

Franco Di Bloody Santo.

Ringo Starr ate my hamper.

How long does he have to be resident to qualify for England?

Never knowingly understood

It would help if he was good enough to get in the QPR team .

You mean to be picked by the manager. He has proven time and again he is good enough.

I suspect this was pomanjou's point. But fact is, Argentina are hardly going to pick him if he's not playing regularly for his club side.

Di Santo has come on a lot. Still think he is way short of Argentina level - it must be for a rubbish friendly.

Not surprised at all tbh

he's been injured only had a few games back and is now not even in the starting eleven

he goes about his business quietly and efficiently.. hardly makes the highlights of any game

Di santo is OK.. nothing special but has a tendancy to make all the highlights with screaming goals

like i say. not massively surprised

Given our current position and the way Hughes has set up his teams, I find it amazing that Faurlin is on the bench.
Clive answered my question about this yesterday. Dropped for a poor performance against West Ham.
Diakite, Granero and Faurlin is some midfield in my opinion.

Wish I could be like David Watts

Clearly Ale must add deflected goals to his repertoire to get noticed.

I was just going to say this!

Di Santo is absolute gash, and simply cannot finish without the aid of a massive deflection - he is the player they were thinking of when that saying about cows' arses and banjos was made up.

How the hell he's got called up is beyond me. I need to lie down!!

Sorry, thought someone would have beaten me to it by now!

According to FIFA eligibility rules you have to have lived/been employed somewhere continuously for a five-year period. In a few years Ale Faurlin would have done that, but I'm curious if he would then be classed as an honourary British citizen (thus available for Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland) or only eligible to play for England? Does anyone know the answer to this?

Faurlin needs to work out how to get himself into Hughes' plans before he tries to overhaul Mascherano, Gago, Pastore, Biglia, Banega, Gaitan, Di Maria, Maxi in order to get a call up.

i'm sure that Messi, Higuian, Aguero, Tevez and Lavezzi are all worried about Di Santo's call up...

Can we not knock it?
