it will be McClaren or Rowett I'd have thought, maybe Wilder in with a shout as they are on a good run

I'd have said either Monk or McClaren as Birmingham accumulated the same number of points in October as we did. Stoke only managed 8 points so I'll doubt it'll be Rowett. [Post edited 31 Oct 2018 16:15]

Geoff Cameron on 02:09 - Nov 1 with 1674 views | timcocking | Well done Geoff. Cameron is an experienced head, and of course he's a big fella in a physically small team, which is useful. Are you all sure he is really so good, though? I can't properly judge if a player is any good on the livestream, because you can't see where they are off the ball. The only people fit to really judge are you lot in the stadium. But from what i have seen on the stream, he hasn't impressed me all that much really. His third goal ever or something, so he's hardly a goal scoring threat. Doesn't seem a creative passer to me. Slow and ponderous, nowhere near fit enough isn't he? He's obviously done reasonably well, not meaning to criticise him, i just genuinely haven't seen anything to suggest he's better than our own young QPR player Josh Scowen. I hope you are right and i'm wrong, but we all know that's uncommon. [Post edited 1 Nov 2018 2:12]

Saw him twice in the week. To me he does the Sean Derry thing really well. Protects the back, breaks things down plays a simple pass if needed pings a longer one of he thinks there might be something on.

Shaun Derry might be the perfect example to have changed my mind. Past it and mediocre, i thought of Dezza when i hadn't seen him. Good point. Go Geoff!

Having seen in excess of half of Cameron's 'live' performances this season, I agree that he's not very creative but that element of the teams play is predominantly the remit of Freeman and Eze. What Cameron brings to the table is a physical presence that breaks up play, protects the back four, wins balls on the ground and in the air and (perhaps I'm imagining or overstating this) appears to intimidate a number of opposition midfielders. I was a great supporter of Josh Scowen when he first arrived from Barnsley but he hasn't been very effective this season and for all his 'ratting', he has never been an intimidating presence. Whilst he was clearly punching above his weight last season, even at his best he was often beaten in challenges by bigger, stronger opponents - so yes (and for as long as he stays fit) in my opinion he does seem a better option than our own number eleven.

Hall, if he is fit - that will be Scowen then!

Hall if fit (god forbid) is the obvious choice but Scowen does a very good ratting job there too. I know he struggled a bit early season but who didn’t? What I think is that we’re in a similar position to the 2010 team where we have a functioning team. Different people have different ideas about which people are the ‘key’ players but the truth is we’re all playing an important role. On and off the pitch. Long may it continue!
