My first one was my empathy for Daniel Bennie, the poor fecker was limping around the pitch at the end as the rest of the squad were running to all corners with the cup and having their pictures taken and he was missing out on all of them. The only one who seemed to take the time to get him involved was Salamon, I hope Ian Randall took a few pics for him to remember the night in a good way. Second one harks back to a Sky live game pre covid and Dave Thomas, with quite a number of R's around him spotted Jamie Redknapp walking up from White City station and turned and pointed to him shouting "Look, look over there..." and as Redknapp looked to acknowledge it Dave finished with " it's England international Michael Owen" Redknapp grinned and then flipped him off. At the game last night I saw Jamie chatting to some two seats away so I reprised it with " Hey, Chris (Kemp) look over here here. look who it is; Michael Owen" Jamie shook his head and grinned. I don't think he remembered Dave's original jibe but it made me wonder if he gets that a lot as he didn't seem to mind at all. WRT the game itself, I thought Putman did an excellent job on the Bees #7 |

How did Jan Stejskal end up at Rangers? Who discovered him? Who scouted him? How did the scout convince the club and Don Howe to sign him? Such an unusual move for 1990. |
 | Forum Thread | Paul Furlong deserves a 1st Team chance by macclesfieldman at 06:51 16 May 2025
He is a Rs legend, is loyal to the club, knows our youngsters, won't cost compensation and shows career progression within the club is possible. Would prefer us to back Paul than any of the other names being linked. |

I always dreamed of creating a foundation for social assistance and considered several countries. Switzerland was attractive, but seemed too complicated for such a project. However, after finding a site https://swisscompanyformation.com/articles/blog/swiss-company-establishing-a-fou with a detailed explanation of creating a foundation and Verein, I realized that it is quite accessible. The article describes step by step everything you need to start. If you are also thinking about it, this site will be very useful. |
 | Forum Thread | Absolute proud to be a ranger tonight.... by qpr_1968 at 22:10 15 May 2025
i know there was a thread on tonights game....but this deserves one on its own. The atmosphere and the willing to achieve such a great, in my mind, cup win over, not so much a premier team, but the way we won it.... we were superb in every round....what a great night. onwards and upwards you r's..... proud to be there tonight, and proud to be a ranger.... |
 | Forum Thread | Offside ref by E17hoop at 19:08 15 May 2025
Might we see a change in the offside law? Forest v Leicester, Elanga miles offside. No flag. Ball played in and Taiwo Awoniyi slides in. Ruptures an intestine and placed in a coma while its repaired. All because of the phase of play crap. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c4ge298zel0o What's needed? A player copping a head injury and fatality before they stop this obvious bullshít? |

NEW with @simonkuper.bsky.social:
The prevailing narrative around increased injuries and player workload in elite football is wrong.
Players don’t play any more football than in the past. What has changed is a sharp rise in intensity of play.
Not more minutes, but each minute exerts more load. — John Burn-Murdoch (@jburnmurdoch.ft.com) 2025-05-15T12:26:15.399Z Thought this was a really interesting piece of data Paywalled article unfortunately https://www.ft.com/content/36ebc96e-18d7-4601-9826-d799d73f38b8 Rise of injuries in the game correlates not with minutes played or distances covered but the number of sprints and passes as the game has evolved in the last few years with the high press, possession game. |
 | Forum Thread | QPR's Luckiest Referee...? by W7Ranger at 16:31 15 May 2025
When I say "lucky", I don't mean we got favourable/fortunate decisions. Just a ref who was a good omen, a lucky charm. I can't see past Mark Clattenburg. |
 | News Comment | Backhouse in charge at Sunderland - Referee by nesteroid at 11:58:38
I came across https://casinonotongamstop.uk/ after watching a YouTube stream where the host casually mentioned it when talking about UK gambling options. Out of curiosity, I gave it a shot. What impressed me was the range of casinos clearly explained without overcomplicating things. For someone living in the UK, it's helpful to have non-Gamstop platforms laid out in one place, especially with brief notes about welcome bonuses and game variety. |
 | News Comment | Injury hit, on the beach and checked out, QPR soundly beaten at Stoke – Report by bekean at 10:58:11
That's a sharp and honest assessment—frustrating as it is for any QPR supporter to watch this unfold. The left side of the defense https://drive-mad.me has been a liability all season, but the Stoke match really exposed it. Andersen, in particular, looked completely lost—positionally and mentally—like his confidence is shot. Paal hasn't been much better, and the two together just don't provide any solidity or structure. It’s no surprise Stoke targeted that side once they sniffed the weakness. |

 | Forum Thread | Spurs v Man Utd Europa League Final by numptydumpty at 23:51 14 May 2025
Curious as to who others would prefer to win out of these two low level premiership teams. 16th v 17th !!!!!!!!!!!!! Can both teams get soundly beaten please. If I had to choose, I personally would enjoy a Tottenham meltdown but neither team deserves to taste glory this season. Long may both their declines continue |

Evri & DHL have merged to become super-deliverer. Evri used to be the worst but have massively improved. We've had threads about terrible delivery cos. Fullers use DHL so a shout out for them - also, I used to do one day a week at their Feltham depot as a sort of quality checker. Let's hope dumped parcels are a thing of the past. |

 | Forum Thread | Stockport vs Orient L! playoff 2nd leg by stainrods_elbow at 22:04 14 May 2025
Just watching the extra time now. 1-1 on the night, 3-3 on agg. Kelman up front for the Os; Dom Ball just come on, who's an 'intelligent lad', according to the comms, with a Business degree and a book under his belt. Don't suppose it necessarily makes much difference with our player if they go up or not, but keeping an eye on how he does tonight. |
 | Forum Thread | Vic Stevenson by loftboy at 21:05 14 May 2025
In hospital awaiting open heart surgery. Hope he comes through okay, known him for absolute years, more through him managing the LSA team later to become the Suffolk punch. Whenever I stood near him in an away end and the ref was having a shocker he’d always turn to me and say “he’s worse than fúcking you” ! |
