Why is the club so keen on spending 18m for a 28 year old A.Ayew but spending 15m on 23 year old Markovic is an absolute no no?
Surprised they fancy A.Ayew much more as a player to be honest as he offers very little other than scoring from goal mouth scrambles.
Markovic would have more resale value which the club seem to love and offers genuine pace and creativity over Ayew.
Is there really that much more value in Andre just because he's a 'known quantity'? Not sure, but he could be a bloody effective player on his day so won't write him off completely. |  | | |

Markovic hasn't played all year. 15M is a lot to spend on a player who is not up to speed. there are only 13 games left, so it's a huge wager that the player will be able to quickly adapt. we've seen with bony how long it can take for a player with ability to get back into the swing of things. |  | | |
