What also was a major factor last season was we were very lucky with no serious injury problems and no relevant suspensions.

The standard of the premier league has been getting lower year after year, it's why Huw and Co. got away with selling top players and replacing with inferior, but there is a tipping balance .
Both Siggy and Llorente made a difference for us, thats obvious to everyone in the world of football apart from the Res.
It' s ok to sell a player but they must be replaced with equal or greater quality, as far as i can remember this has never happened at the Swans since Laudrup left, it's been a spiral downwards saved by falling football standards in the premier league.
No way would the likes of Burnley be finishing so high 6 yrs ago . The standard is awful, we are worse than awful Siggy and Llorente had enough quality in 6/7 games to make a difference plain and simple. |  | | |

They were never going to stay though, selling was only option. Money had to be reinvested wisely and it wasn’t. It was glaringly obvious when the window closed we were desperately short and we are where we are down to the complete incompetence of those running the club.
I’m looking on the brightside though. Changes HAVE to happen now and the time to rebuild starts, however long it takes. |  | | |
