What we should be doing is tying him down to a lucrative contract and convincing him that this is a club that wants to get back to the top flight.
Unfortunately I am expecting fire sale 3 in the next window only it wont be big earners this time. Just the youngsters that can attract high fees. |  |

We'll probably offer him a contract with a release clause for the PL at a reasonable base fee (higher than that leeds thing). It protects him and us. The stick we have is that failing to sign may tie him for another year on current terms unless we are offered the fee we want.
