Cricket world cup 10:58 - May 26 with 35603 viewssainthelens

For the cricket followers on here, who's your fancy?
I've had good wedge on India. England will find a way to fck it up, and as long as the Indians arnt too knackered after the IPL I think they'll be to strong.

Its a job to know at this stage what the best result for ABE fans would be in the Windies v Aussies match.

WI bt Pak, Pak bt Eng so that form line suggests WI will beat Eng [although I would expect Eng to bt WI, with Eng having a tougher game against Oz but there again Eng should be marginal favourites in that match up even if Oz bt them in a WC warm up match].
Therefore from an ABE perspective the desired result would have been for Australia to beat the WI [which happened], but I cant help thinking that WI beating Oz would have been better to help stop England qualifying but having said all that it should all be pie in the sky as Eng should win the entire thing.

So part Glamorgan with the rest being those too sh1t to even play for Glamorgan.

Great thinking there, Trampie. Maybe Plaid could push for it, a guaranteed vote winner.

There is not just a debate about team Wales also there is a debate about the name .
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/cricket/2386685/Englands-Welshmen-call-for-nam

'' 'ECB' and as an abbreviation that's offensive to Welsh people. They're right to be offended and we need to address that,'' from the chairman of the ECB at the time.

15 year old article. Bravo.

It's also got a crap quote from Lembit Opik, he of shagging one of Cheeky Girls fame.

Only thing I can say is at least this is more fun than today's game.

Why don’t you two take this debate onto private messages so that this thread can get back to World Cup cricket? We don’t need another Plaid versus Tory debate.

Here’s a fun fact to hopefully distract from Bluey and Trampie boring each other and the rest of us into submission. This is the fifth cricket World Cup to be held here and today’s was only the second match to be abandoned without a ball being bowled.

I am a little surprised that it’s only two.

No surprise at yesterday though as the positioning of the rain belt meant constant rain for the West for pretty much the entire day. Let’s hope for no more disruption.
