It's a modest improvement, but would suggest some effect-however, you would need to see the study design fully-if it is randomised then great-not then it could be manipulated. This was the issue with Raoult's work to an extent |

As much as they are a complete bag of shite, I feel compelled to watch. It's like when i start a new netflix series, then realise it's rubbish after two or three episodes, but I'm then too deep to f*ck it off (unless it's overdubbed with English then I last about 3 minutes). | |

It like many others is a observational retrospective study where the patients met the required med stats to be included.
But it did unfortunatley leave out one important group, those who were receiving the "standard" treatment, whatever that would be.
Also the drug was not administered on it's own.
The whole group were receiving 2 drugs with or without the additional the drug.
I forgot to add that the Mortality rate was also decreased.
So a roughly 50% improvement is OK and better than nothing. [Post edited 16 May 2020 17:09]

I don't know how accurate it is but I've recently read that Swedes maintain social distancing as part of their culture (look up Swedish bus stop). This could help explain why that they have not had totally horrific stats even though they refused to lockdown. |  |

Far from ideal, but looks promising.
I am not a clinical scientist but more fundamental experimentalist. We don’t get bias problems
