The bloke shot by police reaching in to his car. Any thoughts, apparently he had been tasered but it had no effect, on first watching it I thought it was way off shooting him seven times. I’m uncertain these officers made the right choices but then again I’m uncertain as well as to what Blake was reaching for in the car having failed to stop, stand still or obey instructions from the police.
Not sure those present knew of his previous convictions for gun offences but I’m not sure this has done the coppers a lot of good regardless of the outcome.
That is the one when he is on the floor crying and begging not to be shot. Kneeling with hands on his head right?
He crawls forward one step against orders as he attempts to beg for his life and gets blown away.
Again, he wasn’t a protected minority - nobody cared. No political points to score.
That case would be put above all cases if he were, even more than George Floyd, it was horrific.

The sooner this lie ends the better. It’s dangerous.
30-40 people now killed in these riots. Thousands injured. Almost a billion $ damage.
Yet the root cause of them is based on something that isn’t even true, a complete fantasy.

Despite the myth that black people are disproportionately killed by police, it remains to be completely false.
Per 1000 arrests so all is equal, you are more likely to be killed by police if you are white. 4 in 10,000 white arrests end in death, 3 in 10,000 black arrests end in death.
There is an argument there that both figures are too high, an argument I would agree with. But any argument that states black people are being killed disproportionately affected by police killings needs to be challenged because not only is it incorrect, it’s a dangerous lie.
But, but, it is Genocide of black people, that Naomi Osaka girl said so.

Not sure your statement "people killed by police" is true or are you being deliberately provocative. Most people who die in police custody in the UK die of natural causes or suicide. VERY FEW ARE KILLED BY THE POLICE.

According to Fatal Encounters, the database created by former Reno News & Review editor and journalism instructor Burghart (which tracks all deaths resulting from interactions with police), a total of 1,388 people were killed by police in 2015, 318 (23%) of them black, and 560 (40%) of them white. So roughly 23 percent of those killed by any police interaction in 2015 were black and just over 40 percent were white. According to those statistics (adjusted for racial demographics), black people had a 2.7 higher likelihood of being killed by police than whites.

How on earth is that provocative? What I said is self explanatory, that 3 in 10,000 and 4 in 10,000 is killed BY police. That’s from the US where this case is and where the movement originated. I’m not talking about the UK, or is anyone else.

Yes thats the stat BLM and leftists use to push their false narrative... but that’s nonsense though isn’t it, because they compare it to population and not crime rate.
It is dishonest calculations like that which have everyone confused and has allowed the lie to spread. Black people commit 32% of ALL crime in America, 38% of the violent crime in America and 53% of all the homicides. No honest intellect will ever think to compare to their 13% population when crime rate (and the consequent police integration) is vastly higher than their population split.
For example. 100 people in an office, 98 white and 2 black.
A group of 4 people smash all the windows.. in that group, 2 white and 2 black. All are sacked. So all received equal punishment/justice.
If you adjust for population of the office by demographic you can say “the office is racist, it sacked 100% of its black employees but only 4% of the white ones, which means you are 25 times more likely to be sacked if you are black”... yet we know they were all treated the same.
Hence you can’t work it out by population because they aren’t random sackings (killings), they are sacked (killed) after breaking the law. So you have to work it out from that group, not the overall population.
So back to the black people being killed stat. You have to look at the contribution to the crime rate and thus interactions with police officers. That’s 38% (serious crime rate).., yet they represent less of the police violence than that. It is more likely to be killed by police if you are white, that’s just a fact.
If you worked it out by population as opposed to crime rate then women should make up 51% of police killings instead of the current 3%. Again that disparity is due to men committing a disproportionate amount of serious violent crime, situations which police killings are more likely.

If you commit no crime, your chance of being killed by the police is virtually zero, regardless of race.
If you commit a crime, your chances of being killed by the police are 0.0003% if you are black and 0.0004% if you are white (so slightly higher if white).
But you can reduce that already tiny percentage even further by simply complying with their commands to pretty much back to virtually zero.

Calculating anything by crime rate is inaccurate. True crime rates are not known. Many crimes are not reported. It's far more likely that a poor black person will be investigated, arrested and convicted than a white person.
For instance, white people are more likely to use or deal drugs than blacks are.
It' far easier to convict a poor black person or even for the police to target black areas. The more arrests etc, the better their figures look, the bigger the budget they get
We don't even know the crime rates in the Uk. that's why he have the British crime survey etc, which is just a survey. So going by head of population is as accurate as can be

No it isn’t, because if a crime isn’t reported then:-
1) no stat is counted 2) no race is counted
In terms of what we are discussing, we are working out the number of people that have come into criminal contact with police. We are then extrapolating from that number how many are white and how many are black (60% white, 8% other and 32% black)
The above group is now susceptible to being a victim of police brutality. So we now look at if one group is targeted more than the other. In this case that would be evident by the white group making up more than 60% of police killings and black making up more than 32% of police killings.
I think you will find the split is essentially spot on when it comes to who police kill. It’s slightly higher if you are white, for obvious reasons. Look at the reaction.

Is that because of their skin colour?
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Crimes still happen although they are not reported. Rape being the most obvious.
Many are shot without any charges being made or indeed any arrest
We are working sorely on the amount of blacks and whites killed by police, lawfully or unlawfully.
Don't forget, blacks are only about 12% of the population in the US and only 3% in the UK
Such a shame “controversial” jack used the tired leftist tactic of comparing police killings to population and not crime rate, I knew that was the angle Humpster was going to use too, so you have given the blighter a head start.

Yep, it doesn’t matter though.
If the crime isn’t reported then they won’t come into contact with police and their chances are zero again.
We are talking about crime rate, where police contact is made. Black people represent 32% of the crime rate, 38% of the violent crime rate and 53% of the homicide rate. So it is this group of people that are susceptible to police brutality. Hence why crimes not reported don’t matter.
Of that group they are killed in proportion to their split. No race is disproportionately killed in accordance to their contribution to the crime rate, and certainly not when compared to contribution to the serious crime rate. Which is obviously the correct comparison.
I have no idea why you are mentioning population split again. Remember black people only made up 2% of the office... but represented 50% of the office crime rate. The fact they are 2% is irrelevant.

I explained in my previous post, that many are shot without being charged or even arrested, therefore no crime has been recorded. That's why crime figures are not accurate

That’s another myth.
There are almost no police killings where a crime has not been committed. You are literally talking single figures, and among them will be a mix of all races.
The vast vast vast majority of police killings are at the scene of a crime. To say otherwise is just disingenuous.
And those killings are in proportion to what each race contributes to those crime call outs.

This to me is the issue with BLM. Their arguments are based on lies.
While there is no doubt to me that they are discriminated against in white dominated society, the question they should be pushing is why do black people commit more crimes.
The answers to the problems are more social and not police, the poorer areas are usually doiminated by the black population. The opportunities for young black people to get out are limited, there are exceptions but most are forced to low paid jobs or no jobs, this leads to crime as the only way out.
The problems and answers are complex but the current issues mean more black people turn to crime in relation to their population size, which means more interactions with the police.
According to Fatal Encounters, the database created by former Reno News & Review editor and journalism instructor Burghart (which tracks all deaths resulting from interactions with police), a total of 1,388 people were killed by police in 2015, 318 (23%) of them black, and 560 (40%) of them white. I entirely agree with you which is why I said the one thing we should all be fighting is financial inequality. That means providing absolutely everybody, regardless of skin colour/creed/ethnicity with equal opportunities. Racism is part of a bigger problem.
