You would have thought a pro footballer would know not to kick the ball straight at the keeper every time he has the whole goal to place the ball into., if he can’t understand this or do it by now there is no hope, but saying that he may watch MOTD and it suddenly dawns on him more goals are scored when the ball is put on target and out of the reach of the GK, instead of straight at him.

I'm another who thinks Lowe isn't a bad player, but is a winger rather than a striker. It is a rare beast who scores only a handful of goals season after season and suddenly finds his shooting boots. The fact that Lowe is being played as a striker reflects the fact that our loan signing isn't cutting the mustard. With no money things are difficult, but if I were Cooper I'd try to line up a better loan for the Christmas window. Without improvement up front we won't be promoted. The sad thing is that I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Brewster downgraded to bit-part player at SU by then. | | | |

Aint t good we can bitch over other subjects yet till stay (relatively) tidy to each other. Others need to realise that,like those whose first thought after we win is to insult fans who took the different view .
I detested Cooper as I believed he was slaughtering our players posiviity.Cooper has utterly changed yet few -apart from me-have aid so. The team is quicker,more vibrant and has more tempo.He has also ,rightly,benched Grimes.
Lowe is our employee and he is not doing his job right.This happens in civvy street-you're toast. Try selling as a career and fail to sell.The sack follows. | |

I just watched Rashford do exactly the same thing. Lowe had three good clean strikes all on target. Out of form strikers usually fall over, panic and scuff their shots.
If Lowe keeps his confidence he will score by getting clean strike away early. Swansea cannot afford £10m for a stiker or play Charlie Austin £40,000 a week. Work with Lowe he is a late developer, is fast and has the basic skills. |  |

We narrowly lost against one of the promotional favourites yesterday and looking infinitely stronger than last year. We will be in the top two mix for sure this season .

Agree - although not a host of examples where players learn/coached to become calm & ruthless in front of goal. I do believe he can improve his finishing but not sure I see a Henry type transition from sideman to lethal number 9 . . . . . I guess we can but hope, although personally I think we need to either start Gyokeres for a run of games to see if he was worth the loan spot (can we send him back in Jan if not?) or get Cullen closer to the starting 11, at least a bench spot ahead of Routs.
Not sure I understand the hyperbole with a lot of our fans with one, relatively unlucky, defeat - we are/were not going to run away with this league so a loss away from home at one of the pre-season promotion favourites is hardly a trigger for such a reaction. We are at best a top 6 competitive side & we all know how competitive this league is & all sides have & will lose games. | | | |

Not sure where you're getting the "Hyperbole" from, most posts I've read on this thread have been complimentary of the teams performances at Brentford & Norwich (and quite rightly so), just some lamenting on one player missing a couple of sitters. | |
