Lowe ? 17:07 - Nov 7 with 8328 viewspikeypaul

Benefit of the doubt up and until now.

But today was the final straw.

He couldn’t finish a cup of tea.

if he could just slide the ball
either side of the keeper rather than just kick it straight at him every time
we would be top of the league tonight.

Lowe passed it to Bidwell for the second

The chance today he missed p*ssed me off, he needs to improve fast with finishing as we can’t keep letting teams off hook but overall he’s needed big time for what he brings outside the box.

Sadly there will always be those (like Perchy) far happier with a hate figure than with being honest. You can normally spot them by how quickly they start threads bitching about stuff, even when the team wins. Can remember having near blows with a couple of idiots on the North Bank back in the day who were booing the team off at half time. We were 1-0 up but that made little difference to minds that small.

Is Lowe a natural goalscorer? No, clearly not. Is he still making a big contribution to a team currently nicely positioned in fourth? Of course he is. He seems like the type of player who contributes a lot all round but can blow hot and cold in front of goal. The type who will suddenly find a vein of form and notch five or six in short order then have another dry spell.

I'm sure we'd all like to have another Brewster to call upon but they are in short supply. If we're in contention come January (and there's no reason why we won't be) then maybe we'll find one.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Come January we need to get down to CKs and get a sack of potatoes and place them on the penalty spot, there would be more chance of bouncing the ball in off them than Lowe scoring.
His feck ups could have cost us today like they did against Norwich thank god we got the points this time.

I can imagine Lowe carries out his own review after games and if so must acknowledge that he falls short (ATM) in front of goal. I think he'll come good but also thankful he's not missing chances in front of a stadium full of critics ,that and his own potential lack of confidence maybe too much to take.

Leon said it best in commentary.

Lowe’s teammates will appreciate what he brings to the table. Even if sadly some supporters can’t see it.

He does need to improve in front of goal though if we are to compete at top end of table. I think he will personally.

Give Cullen some more time too mate, he looked hungrier than any striker I’ve seen in a long time.

Cullen needs a run of games. I think if he starts scoring he will then bang them in for fun.

Whatever happens he must not be the one that got away, his ability is there for all to see.

Lowe is a winger playing out of position because we didn’t replace Brewster. To be fair, replacing Brewster was a tall order but then again, we didn’t get close.

I see a player getting pelters for struggling to play a role not suited to him. He has all the tools to be a very good Championship player but for me he lacks the self belief to make the most of his ability. I don’t think the coaches are close to getting the best out of him so far.

He s one in long line of players picked out of position.

Why do we simply not buy players fit for purpoe.

We needed a striker, not a winger that could play as one. Not fair on the lad.

But what we can all see and did yesterday is hes unable to put the ball into an empty net from 5 yards.
If that is acceptable to you then fair enough but for someone who is on probably £8,000 a week you would expect him to able to place it between two posts 7.32 metres apart.
If we wanted a "grafter" we could have got some irish navvy or something that could "run around a lot" a springer spaniel instead of this useless feck.

If you cannot instinctively kick a ball into an empty net from 5 yds out unopposed then you really cannot be considered good at your trade.
Cullen's feckup right in front of goal wasnt inspiring either.
We are talking basics here.

Rotherham should have been put to leep .They would have been with a striker

He's a striker who has scored 1 professional goal at the age of 21. No club has seen anything in him deeming him worthy of taking on loan to even League 2 or below.

He's playing for us because we have no recognised striker at the club. He may yet turn into a good player capable of sustaining a career in the English Football League.

Nothing yet suggests he will. If he was another of the Scottish kids we had brought in and was not a "local" player, he'd be viewed far differently.

Lowe ? on 14:20 - Nov 22 with 964 viewsonehunglow

Hard to argue with that Guv.
If Cullen was a buy from an English club ,he'd be slaughtered. He IS frail and is unable to dominate defenders. He does not seem to have that predatory instinct.

We are not a charity and shouldn't be sentimental abut who plays for our club.

It matters not where any player is from so long a he does the business.

We should be ambitious and be looking to slowly build up quality

Rodon WAS and is quality and it was always evident for all to see.

Cullens started one match, give the boy a chance. I’ve seen enough in him over the years to know he’s got excellent potential. All he needs is confidence.
2
Lowe ? on 19:47 - Nov 22 with 887 viewsonehunglow

If he has ability,he will have self confidence.

He put himself about thoigh but in this league, the big defenders will crush him given the chance.

I hope to God he can get a goal soon but he needs to bulk up .

I really liked the look of Cullen/Lowe - for their first pairing in a competitive match I think they have plenty of potential to be a force in this league.

Watching it back it wasn’t that cut and dried was it? He had to beat a defender to the ball and turn and shoot in one movement.

That argument hold's no water, Dan James was sent back from the only club he was loaned to deemed not good enough same as Joe went to Cheltenham didn't play much, just needs a chance and run
