I did shifts for 36 years, many different rosters , and i agree early mornings are far worse than nights.If you can't sleep before your morning shift, it's hell if you have then to do a long shift. I don't miss getting up at 5am

How about one week of night then one of mornings. The nigthshift started at midnight Sunday til 6am then 10pm til 6am. Mornings was 5am til 1pm.
Every other weekend I'd finish at lunchtime on Saturday and be back in Sunday at midnight.
Then I moved onto 5 nights starting at midnight every night but working 9hr 45 min shifts and having every 6th week off. I used to get an extra 60 quid for night shifts but then a new pay deal came in and night supplements finished.
I went back to mornings, a 48 hour week with every 6th week off. Much better.

It's even worse if you can't sleep before a nightshift, and it's harder to do. The sun is shining, kids are making noise outside, your body clock says it's daytime then you crawl into work and your body clock is screaming it's time to sleep.
I could go out beofre a morning shift, play darts, have 2/3 pints go home and sleep like a baby. I rarely slept properly in 5 years of nights.

His speech didn't end until 1:11pm and it is a 45 minute walk to the Capitol building. The police were already using flash bangs and teargas at 1:00pm.

The steps were breached for the first time at 2:07. Rioters entered the building from 2:16.
There were protesters at the site before but the storming of the building started 56 minutes from the end of the Trump speech.
In answer to Catt’s earlier post, Dr. P has commented on the scenes and although we had a roundabout discussion comparing with BLM protests, he did condemn the riots on a number of occasions.
