RADIO Talk Sport 2 LIVE commentary
It’s that ‘extra’ game on bilious Brentford that raises its ugly head. Fresh from the glare of the man child exploding and his tantrum over a penalty given away by his ridiculous decision to try and win a game he had no right to win. It’s Blackburn v Swansea.
Match Officials ROBERT JONES Ian Hussin and Adrian Holmes Fourth Official : Geoff Eltringham
Merseyside official Jones also took charge of the Swans twice last season, having the whistle for the win over Cardiff and the draw against West Brom at the Liberty Stadium. His only other previous Swansea game was the Carabao Cup clash with MK Dons in 2017, which the Swans won 4-1. Jones, who has refereed in the Championship since 2017, will be assisted by Ian Hussin and Adrian Holmes, while Geoff Eltringham is the fourth official. Robert Jones would like to make it known he has never played rugby. However, he has secretly stated he owes Swansea City a penalty or two and will definitely have that in the back of his mind.
The game has been rescheduled because Tony left the taps on for the last game and flooded the ground, strangely enough the once competent drainage system and under soil heating failed to work, allegedly because it wasn’t on, allegedly because the club couldn’t afford it, allegedly.
Tony’s textbook tactical tampering
As we can see swans tv are showing the game to season ticket holders who live in a light green market who hold season tickets between rows F and K. Personally I think this is scant reward for these people who have been in the glare of the yellow market since June 2020. I think it’s time there was a strongly worded letter sent from the red market to the club possibly moaning about something just for the sake of it. Legal action could happen. 😂 Not. Or even twice. Send the same letter twice or two different ones. In the days before markets there were markets but they were not called markets. It’s odd there is still a dark market, this sounds terrible and isn’t a place at would want to be without a torch. Long live the partially fluid, non gender, off purple, let’s have drugs market. It’s the place to be.
FORM GUIDE Blackburn have won one of their last six games, Swansea two out of their last six, oooops ! silly me, I meant four from their last six games. In their last six games Swansea lost at home to Middlesbrough 2-1, Oh damn, so sorry, I’m confused so easily these days, in their last game Swansea beat Middlesbrough 2-1, and Blackburn won away at Millwall 2-0.
The last time Blackburn beat Swansea in the league was in 2011, the score was 4-2:in the premier league. Back in October the swans beat Blackburn 2-0 at the Liberty. That premier league win for Blackburn in 2011 was the first time the sides had met since 1984. Since then games have ended either in a draw or a Swansea win.
Steve Cooper, message to the swans supporters, from Rossi's to your favourite pint

Bennett, Guehi, Grimes and Ayew would walk into any side in this league. Spine of the side.
Hourihane was highly thought of coming here and many Villa fans thought us getting him could well have sealed promotion for us.
Naughton - Nearly 200 Premier League appearances Cabango - Full international Roberts - Full international, premier league player all day long Lowe/Whittaker - best part of a £1m each at this level is not cheap Manning - Season before joining us was the highest chance creator in championship, or right up there.
We have a very good squad, this is not over achieving.
so with all that SOCALLED highly debatable talent we have ,what's with the absolute dross we've been dishing out lately ? Copper has bottled it ? he's not got what it takes? o hang on ,I know ,poor dabs have been over doing it the footballs gone and We're turning into a hoooooffffff team

Give it rest about the owners. If we go up and spend like we did from Monk on we'll be in an even worse situation or is that what you want? With the players we have we should be challenging Norwich for the title. Cooper may be responsible for bringing some of his favourites to Swansea but his limitations mean he is also responsible for holding us back.
Give it rest about the owners............ noooooooo they're not there for our benefit, you'd do well to remember that

We're not "turning into" a hoof team, my friend. We already are a hoof team.
From what I can recall over the past few months, the majority of our chances are created from long throws, set pieces or winning the second ball from long balls forward. It's incredibly rare we play out from our half, into their half and create a chance.
We play a worse style of football than Cardiff City and have done so for quite some time.

Don't mention them Dwight.
Im imagining Flint,Morrison,Moore and Woody within feet of each other.
Woody need to carry a white flag and stick it in his goal, along with his bottle of water and/or energy drink-not that he needs them.

They had those lot last time though apart from flint, and didn't lay a glove on us to be fair.
Well matey.I hope you're right but I doubt you're not confident.
Last time, they didnt have MM who is far more wily and cunning. He will have his players all, well over 6 feet, crawl all over him, which begs the question why we sign such short players.

I wouldn't say I am confident for the game, but never am going into derby's and we do well in them more often than not.
They will press us high which we sometimes struggle with, but they were awful against Huddersfield the other day, we should have the lion share of possession and can hopefully break them down. From a few CCFC supporting lads I know, MM has gone with the same squad more often than not and have looked jaded like us.

I don't think everyone is giving enough consideration to the gruelling schedule this season. We have been playing twice a week for months.
Swansea have to travel some of the longest distances in the league. Playing at Stoke last week, then on Saturday and then at Blackburn on Tuesday just a couple of days rest inbetween.
Yes, it is very difficult for everyone but we are not seeing other teams week in week out and no one will be on top form every week, week in week out.
We have to accept that performance will vary, and that includes management, (you just have to look at Klopp or Mourinho)
I think all in all we are performing brilliantly this season. Everyone is giving it their all every game, and yes everyone is not going to be on top form every game. (Is anyone in their job whatever they do?).
We are all on the same side guys, we need more SUPPORT and less criticism.
It is the gruelling schedule that is causing many of the criticisms on here. Some of our players are clearly in need of a break but are not getting one. Ayew and Lowe have been below par for weeks but they get no rest.
As the perfovrmances suffer the criticisms multipy.
Nobody wants to see us lose. We are not complaining about results but about performances. If performances keep on like this, results will suffer. We are lucky that they haven't yet suffered too much. Ironically we lost the game we should have won and won when we should probably have lost.

WE did it several times in the home game against Coventry in the second half.. People have selective memory, one move started in our penalty area with Ben passing the ball out to Naughton some interpassing between Ayew Grimes and Naughton with Grimes then driving on into the Coventry box, there were a couple more of those too. Our equaliser at Stoke started with a pass from Freddie to either Naughton or Ben just outside our penalty area with some slick passes...
We played a few of those too against Bristol.....but we coulndt finish....I have repeatedly told people to visit the Bristoltv site where the full game is available ...we played the type of football we crave in that game only we couldnt convert the chances. Yes we do use long throws more, we seem to be more intent on clearing the lines rather than bringing the ball down and playing it out...but we no longer have a Leon ....who is right in front of the backline rady to receive the ball and then act as the distributor...
My personal view is that Cooper has been "told" to get us promoted this year..the priority of the owners being promotion over style. That rquires getting results...which you must admit have come.....and that is not all down to luck though we have had some over the last few games...But then how many times have the teams we have played had that luck over the years!
Yes we are no longer the pretty football team that evolved from the Martinez era and "peaked" under Laudrup....but that all started back in Lg 1 a "less competeive" league to the Championship due to the rewards that come with promotion from it...during a time of "stabitiy" in the club finacnially etc and when things were on the up....totally different scenario now... Many of us expected we might well plummet down the leagues as we did after our last fall from the top table how remarkable is it that a so called "crap" manager took us to the play offs in hos first season and now has us with one hand on an automatic spot. 3 years ago most fans thought it might be 10 yeasrs or more before we got the chance again... We are not totally a hoof team we do waht we need to do to get the result...we tried pretty "pure" football against Bristol and we lost.... Dont get me wrong I do not want to tade "football" for "hoofball" I dont think that is Coopers long term aim but I beleive he is doing what he can to get results to get us promoted to satisfy his bosses!
I keep saying this we as fans are unhappy and I am with the lack of "stylish " football..BUT are owners happy with our league position? We are in touching distance of automatic promotion..maybe Cooper has been given the target of promotion this year....by hook or by crook!...We may be crap to watch but we are currently joint second with a game in hand over the club we share that spot with....

We are a good side but at the moment have zero energy. An energized swans would have breezed past Blackburn. The real worry is we’re going to get more and more tired and in turn more and more vulnerable to defeat

Absolutely spot on brynnie, I think that cooper is hoping that we can get through the next 3 games with as many points as possible and no injuries before the international break.

Before Blackburn played less games than any top six..its same for every team if he won't rotate its bad management.. He chose to spend 800 grand on a striker and not play him..signed 3 or 4 players in Jan and won't use them ...every team is in same boat...

Perhaps he isnt fully fit so will not be risked unless absolutely necessary.
He keeps picking up soft tissue injuries because not getting rested enough and his age....we been lucky with injuries Soon our luck will run out. If he constantly don't rest players
