Based on what I have seen today I fear that you may be correct, give or take a few years. I am British. I live in a small group of made up nations on an island of Britons.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

The Jocks may go their own way (although when it comes to the crunch many will waver) but absolutely nothing I've seen anywhere, ever suggests Wales is remotely close to doing the same. After a Covid pandemic where the only thing that the Westminster Govt did right was manage vaccinations, where who knows how many billions have been wasted, Plaid loses seats. Given a reasonably settled couple of years support for independence will soon drop back down to the 5-10% where it usually lies.

| Welsh independence on 23:15 - May 7 by LittleEnglandJack | Is the correct answer. Quite incredible that after a year in which the Welsh Government has had control over the minutiae of people's lives, to the point of making it illegal to see friends and family, it seems less than half of Welsh voters could be bothered to get off their arse and vote. Whether you've approved of Welsh Government policy or not, it has affected all of us immensely this last year and the fact that over half of voters apparently didn't have an opinion either way is quite frankly depressing. Labour's match made in heaven of blind tribalism and apathy seems to have combined to let them in again, perhaps even with an increased vote/seat share. Really is a dark day for democracy in Wales- piss poor turnout, more of the same stale, failing shite that we've had for 22 years and counting. I've said it before and I'll say it again- I'm a unionist but so help me god I'd rather Plaid were in government than another 5 years of that lot. |
If people want their vote to be counted, they need to turn up at a polling station on the day of the election. Postal Voting has become far too unreliable, and it's fallibility favours the incumbent parties.

So how long do you give the eu ? Or how long do you give until the collapse of western society. Maybe England will decide to break away from the rest of UK. What about Carmarthenshire or Pembrokeshire breaking away from the rest of Wales ?. Economically North Wales would be better off, aligning itself with the north west of England than with South Wales. But to suggest Wales will be independent within 15 years is complete nonsense and there isn’t a shred of evidence to back up what you say, but if it gives you comfort, that’s good 😂

This is the Scottish problem, the last referendum was clear. They didn’t want to leave the union.

And of course the UK government will not vote for another referendum as Scotland had its once in a generation referendum. The SNP are stuck on 49% of the constituency vote still short of Nicholas 50% plus 1 vote she needs to claim a mandate.

The once in a generation vote was said, but that is NOT part of the legislation that was then put before the people of Scotland. The No vote included pro Europeans. Brexit has changed everything, and thats a valid argument for another vote. Scotland are not stuck in jail. Scotland does not have to stay in an abusive relationship. This what will happen next .... Comrade Nicola wins a specific 2021 mandate Scots Parliament raises the vote legislation once pandemic sorted Fatty Johnson blusters and goes to Supreme Court Supreme Court confirms the mandate has been given, and Brexit makes it valid as conditions changed. Its not a re-run. Vote goes ahead. Yes wins. A free Scotland joins the EU. Michael Gove resigns as PM. Sit back and watch ...🿠

Of course it was. The only positive about a Labour majority win is that hopefully Plaid will recognise that they can't keep ploughing the indy furrow. The Welsh people want to be British.

It was an election in which all the parties who supported independence or a referendum on independence failed miserably. Effectively it was a referendum on on whether we want a referendum and Wales doesn't even want a referendum.
