The Welsh Assembly get x amount of money every year for the devolved areas and split it up between those areas, they for example chose to give free prescriptions and free school meals during the holidays etc.
The money they get will only go so far and if they had chosen to build the M4 RELIEF road they would have had to make huge cuts to the budget for health and education etc.
RTD2 said that he would have built the M4 relief road, well guess what, - he still can by asking Boris to give the Welsh Assembly Government the money to do so.
This is extraordinary funding and should not be expected to come out of the normal budget.
Westminster have found the money for HS2 and could easily find the money for the M4 if they wanted to. |

You obviously don’t know what you are talking about. The Welsh governments idea of solving the congestion on the m4 is to spend up to £840,000,000 building 6 new train stations between Cardiff and Newport 😂. Hopefully the UK government will step in and over rule those muppets running Wales. | |

Wales receives an extra £9 billion per year under the Barnett formula. That is over £3000 per person more than in England. I think that is what is called generous. | |

Health - We have the most poorly run NHS in the UK.
Education - We have been bottom of the PISA rankings ever since Wales have been in control of education.
Economic development - We run at the biggest deficit out of all home nations.
Transport - £40,000,000 spent consulting the M4 issue in South East Wales. It's now scrapped entirely and Westminster have stated they'll step in as it is a huge barrier to economic growth in Wales.
The environment - All looks fine here.
Agriculture - Again, fine.

The three nations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland received £9.5 billion from the treasury with Scotland getting the lions share of £5 billion. So if you think £3000 per person (which is not actually what it is for) and the is less than a third of your figure then it is not generous? | |

Not made up at all. The subsidy takes into the tax raised in each country and the money spent in each country via the block grant . The barnett formula only makes up a part of the subsidy

Practically all of the money spent by the Welsh government is funded by the block grant from the treasury. It is not a subsidy it is a block grant decided by the Barnett formula, which is not in Wales favour compared. I am intrigued to know what subsidy you introduce and where they come from. | |
