Yep.
For any outsiders reading this site;
This is what the Welsh are like after an election.

This is how we interact

This is a tolerant country

Innit

It was an election in which all the parties who supported independence or a referendum on independence failed miserably.

Effectively it was a referendum on on whether we want a referendum and Wales doesn't even want a referendum.

Looking at at yet again a low turn out I'd say the Welsh electorate care little about politics , and looking at what's on offer I can't blame them

Care little ,know little.

It matters not

They are told how to vote from the mother' breast.

Other regions have grown up

Labour detested in the north east which has seen as least as much industry vanish.

With England going more and more blue, the bigger distance between Wales and England the better.

I'd like to think Welsh people have better values than the Tory England as a whole.

I hope never to hear anyone who voted Labour moaning about

Longer NHS waiting lists than that of England (& the rest of UK)

Business setting up the other side of bridge due to better transport links

Money being spunked on Cardiff whilst the rest of Wales suffer.

Education levels lower than that of the rest of UK.

You reap what you sow.

This is the Scottish problem, the last referendum was clear.
They didn’t want to leave the union.

People think there was skulduggery mind, biased coverage in favour of the Union, lies against yes and broken promises for staying in the union and then of course some say there was corruption involved in the counts, there was lots of video footage online at the time at the counts and also there was concern around postal votes, areas were apparently voting yes but postal votes from the same areas were apparently 90% for no, it might have been born on a Wednesday but it wasn't last Wednesday.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

What people? Come on, I don't remember seeing Sturgeon making any claims. Maybe you can enlighten us with some evidence?

Some say eh? Are those some people who make things up to excuse their loss?

How does anybody know how somebody voted? If areas were voting yes but actually voted no, all you have is spurious claims and I'm certain if there was any evidence of postal fraud or any other voter fraud Sturgeon would have kicked up a storm. I read this,

https://www.theguardian.com/po

Even if you add the petitions together (ignoring many probably signed both) it came to 149,000. The claim in the story that somebody filmed vote tampering...."Why [are] there videos of votes being tampered with or moved around while the counter is seen looking around making sure no one was watching?" Well then, the lookout person didn't do such a good job because it was all filmed. Oh, the best bit, a RUSSIAN observer claiming it was fixed, come on!
You'll be claiming next that Plaid losing ground was a fix!

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Much hypocrisy abounds in this land.
People with money in wealthy towns professing their love of the working classes whilst at the same time preferring to be denizens of a nice area free of Plebs .

It’s a common theme these days.

Absolutely. I know of someone who has moved his business from Cardiff to Bristol, due to the M4. He employs 30.
I also believe in democracy and if the Welsh people want labour, then the Welsh can have labour, even though they have failed year after year.

Well it seems important to some of the Labour and Plaid voters on here to hate the tories. I treat them all with equal contempt.

Kilkenny usually tells us not to live in the past but can't get past 1984. He says he is progressive but is still fixated on Maggie and the miners. It's beyond parody.

Time to move on for everybody I reckon. We can keep arguing about what's done or we can look at the future and see how best to approach it.

Hi Cat.
But he is not alone.I still get Ken from beautiful Builth ripping into my Police past.It was a minority of my working life and Ive done much more interesting things.

The worst thing I ever did was posting to the effect I'd earned squillions of dosh after bashing miners. Like much I write, purely to antagonise egos out of control.

Steelworkers had it almost a bad,and mill workers possibly worse, not to mention Shipbuilders.

It's the minority who do that though, OHL. Most of us don't behave like the English are unwelcome intruders or evil b'stards out to destroy the Welsh.

I tried to get past the parochial nationalism and hate of strangers a long while back. I love travelling and meeting the locals wherever I am. When abroad we always try to eat in the local eateries, not the chains, we look for the real local businesses not the multinational invaders who have taken over many tourist areas.

With nationalism, all too often, comes hate. When I voted leave it was because on most levels I disagreed with the EU not because I hate foreigners. We had some close friends who were Polish, gone back to Poland now but they were some of the nicest, most genuine people I knew. People get blinkered by hate, they miss so much.

The Welsh Assembly get x amount of money every year for the devolved areas and split it up between those areas, they for example chose to give free prescriptions and free school meals during the holidays etc.

The money they get will only go so far and if they had chosen to build the M4 RELIEF road they would have had to make huge cuts to the budget for health and education etc.

RTD2 said that he would have built the M4 relief road, well guess what, - he still can by asking Boris to give the Welsh Assembly Government the money to do so.

This is extraordinary funding and should not be expected to come out of the normal budget.
Westminster have found the money for HS2 and could easily find the money for the M4 if they wanted to.
