There are still flights, but they are only allowing British, Irish and citizens with right of residency in to the country and they have to quarantine. The other issue worth thinking about is that lots of travellers will be coming in on flights via hub airports in the Gulf and other places. I also read people were stopping off in Istanbul and potentially quarantining there which may create other problems! | | | |

More when targeted. Also, finally, moving into sewage testing. Should pick up areas of outbreaks before symptomatic cases. The person to thank is Sharon Peacock at PHE. Thus far the vaccines appear to be remaining effective against it anyway.
We really need to be ramping up the pressure on people to get vaccinated or restrict what those who haven't been for any reason other than medical to spread it. If that means vaccine passports to get into pubs or shops then so be it.
Refusing to be vaccinated for Covid (or anything tbh) needs to be made as socially unacceptable as drink driving. | |
