| Same old England on 14:21 - Jul 8 by 34dfgdf54 | I listened to Peter Walton at the time, and like I have done in every other time he's been on the air, I've come to the conclusion the guys an absolute joke. Even Lee Dixon said he has no time for what Peter Walton says. The article you quoted was about offsides and how long it takes to come to the decision. I can imagine Leeds will disagree with you regarding black and white fro, the Bamford offside during the season, due to a mm of his armpit being in front of a line which looked as if it had been drawn on by a toddler. Those decisions take minutes to come up with, they are what you would call nowhere near an obvious error by the linesman for not flagging. A foul called by the offical, where there has been no contact made in the slightest, due to a dive by the attacking place, is everything you'd want VAR to be eradicating. Obvious errors. Yes I know. And how long would some fouls take to determine? Unlike offsides, some are obvious, some are open to interpretation. The idea, whether it’s offsides, penalties or anything else is to get a quick decision and minimise disruption to the flow of the game. Look at the images here. Appreciate they are still shots, but you can see why the ref would give it. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s | | | |

Yeah but this discussion is about the decision from last night, one replay is all it took to realise it wasn't a penalty, hence Dixon saying straight away don't get your hopes up. I have no issue with the ref giving it, but he was conned and the VAR didn't do it's job by correcting the obvious error.

Kane is always the same and its not mentioned. The slightest touch and he goes down like a sack of shyte. Sterling and Rashford are famous for it. A shame that refs haven't wised up about them.

These same players spend hours at their clubs standing on rubber balls to develop balance and core strength in the gym . They would be more difficult to knock over than you or I yet they fall to the ground at the slightest touch - Sir Alf wouldn't have stood for it , no pun intended.

Not forgetting Grealish as well. Only on the pitch a short time last night and came off with his kit dirtier than anyone else

Going to be a great night Sunday if the English win or lose, really looking forward to it. The knowledge that the English haters(racists) on here will be hiding behind their curtains shitt ing themselves of an English wins makes it even better. [Post edited 8 Jul 2021 13:23]

Please stop claiming people who want their rivals to lose a football match are racist. You're normalising actual racism. Which is far more serious than people wanting their neighbours to lose a football match. So grow up.

I've tried and will probably fail to convince him that there is a difference between racism and xenophobia, I take massive umbrage in being called a racist when that is sooooo far from the truth.

How do you relate the "fear and hatred of strangers" when you apply it to every person based on where they are born? Do you feel the same about the people from every other country on earth? I think you are a "countryist".

Where have i said that I hate every person from england? I dont hate the english, I pity the few who are knobs, they are the ones who give the rest of them a bad name. I was trying to explain to pikey that people who hate the english are xenophobes and not racist.
