Immunity from natural infection does not offer long term protection. There are relatively few infections that do. Hence the rubbish people say about you can’t have x or y twice. In this case immunity from infection is poorer than vaccination. This is pretty
Clear

How many people have had COVID twice.
Can you provide any data?

This is just daft. Do you have any idea how many infectious disease researchers there are. We have about 100 academic staff in the area, with perhaps 300+ postdoctoral researchers. All the big players will have similar numbers if not more- Oxford,
Cambridge, Birmingham, UCL, Imperial, Bristol, Edinburgh. That’s a thousand to start with. A big microbiology conference has over 10k delegates.

No one is toeing a line. That’s conspiracy bull. There are few dissenters as few people believe the tripe you come up with. Few on your list are anything to do with infection. Are people really being sacked? No. Not even Dolores Cahill- she was removed from teaching at the students’s request at UCD, but still has her job.

Scotia asked for some names, I provided some names.

Dingwall didn't get sacked because he questioned 'risk-benefit ratio' of vaccinating 12 to 15-year-olds.
He says so, but he is no longer in the job after a "shake up".
Then there is Dr. Sam White, who resigned due to his principles after being
suspended for speaking out.
Also Dr .Francis Christian Canadian surgeon fired from his position at the University of Saskatchewan and suspended from teaching after expressing concerns about Covid-19 vaccine safety.
Professor Terry Ridd fired by Cooke University for calling out the propaganda about the GBR.
Dr. Steven LaTulippe sacked for speaking out about masks and Lockdowns.

But livelyhoods does not just mean losing their jobs, everybody knows that those that do not follow the establishment line do not get the grant money.
He who pays the piper calls the tune has never been more true than in the research fields of Pharma and Climate Change.
Getting your papers published is another issue.

I notice that you have not provided even one iota of data to disprove anything any one of them has said.
All you ever do is attack their characters and appeal to authority.

Apparantly there are more doctors than I thought.

I notice you included Dolores Cahill in that list of names. You thought she was a professor of medicine at one point? She isn't. She's been consistently wrong about covid, claiming it is treatable by vitamins and immunity is life long. She's full of it.

I haven't looked at the others.

That link is written by Dr Andrew Kaufman, he's not just an anti vaxer, but also denied the virus existed early in the pandemic. He claims there are 100,000 Dr's that agree with him. I don't believe him.

Even if he is correct that makes at least 9.9 million Dr's who don't agree with him.

Let's not forget that Harold Shipman was a Dr too, there are some bad apples among them.

Well seeing as the subject of the article is Blood Clotting it could be this Dr Mike Williams.

https://bwc.nhs.uk/dr-mike-wil

He fits the bill, but who knows?

Who knows?

You've linked an article he claims to have written and believed it without question.

It's almost certainly not him, "Mike" claims to work in private practice. You think he'd advertise his services better wouldn't you?

When you think of it Scotia who can we listen to, and trust? Look at that Neil Ferguson, I think half the reason the UK looked down in the first place, was based on his and imperial college modelling, fast forward till about June this year, and he popped up again, saying if we came out of lockdown we would be facing 100k cases a day in the uk!! It never happened!

I ask myself why, all the rubbish that has been spouted by the government, and their advisors since March 2020 has mainly been ignored by the media, yet the majority of people who offer differing opinions are called silly names and conspiracy theorists, why? they have nothing to gain.

I listen to both sides. And I feel that many people speak sense opposing what is going on.

Lockdown was based on historical evidence. it was used during the 1918 flu epidemic when no vaccine was available and it worked

Absolutely listen to both sides but that doesn't have to include the lunatic fringes?

We all know (or at least should) experts can be wrong too. There were plaenty of mistakes made in the early stages of covid, things changed very quickly, rules changed. We were told masks didn't work but then they did. We were told Covid wasn't airborne then it was, we were also told we could catch it from hard surfaces but it turned out to be a 10,000-1 shot. Listening to people doesn't mean you have to believe the ridiculous and some of the things put about are completely ridiculous. There's a poster on here (a complete WUM by the way) who has claimed the vaccines are a bio weapon being used to depopulate the earth, I mean, come on!

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

You manage to pick out 2 people from over 20.
What did I write about those 2?
"Here are some that are real conspiracy theorists on top, but again bring research to the table."

The current thinking is that somewhere between 20-25% of those infected DO NOT produce good T or B cell memory. These individuals will be more susceptible. PHE estimates in June were than 0.4% of infections were reinfection, a small but significant group (so in the region of 20-30K cases). This is now likely to be much higher with the predominance of delta, which will have lower protection from existing immunity. These data will be not known for some time. As frankly it's not that important right now. What is more important is understanding length of immunity, and we know that perhaps 1 in 5 do not have much protective immunity 6-12 months after infection. I suspect vaccines will be similar, though have a feeling the AZ vaccine may give a longer-lived response due to being a live vector' Live vaccines usually give longer-lasting protection.

US studies are also suggesting having the vaccine even if previously infected, reduced reinfection rates by half.

No 'y' in livelihood either. Once is a typo, we all make them.

Go look it up yourself. But you won’t as it’s not been approved by ‘I married my sister or we love trump.’. As a fair bit of this has come from my department I have known about this for some time.

Great innit.

Want you to trust their research of dodgy websites and YouTube videos, can't even research the fact that the BBC moved out of television centre years ago.

These people are a walking meme.

He didn't mention the very ill double vaxxed couple that caught COVID in hospital and both died within 12 hours of each other.

That family were in Portugal, not the UK and the last I heard the authorities will not disclose their vaccination status.

You read it how you want to read it, others see it as a direct threat.

The mere fact you call it "nonsense" is typical of your attitude towards anything you disagree with as usual.
