Any positive posts are immediately pounced upon, and you can't even state an opinion without it being dissected by a group of posters who are just happy....with being unhappy...and finding things (that aren't) there. Please can you all lighten up....it's draining.

A VESTED interest is defined as follows:- "a personal reason for involvement in an undertaking or situation, especially an expectation of financial or other gain". I have nothing to gain whatsoever in the success of the US owners and the Welsh allies. my interest is an "interest" not a "Vested interest" , It is not ironic therefore that I comment on other vested interests. My interest is in the success of Swansea city. I support the US owners and Welsh allies are they are supporting the club with cash. This is here and now.

I disagree with resolven on most matters but he refrains from hate speech really. At least he can express his opinions without it turning personal. Lesson to many on here I detest the owners btw and think they are and have been inept . It is purely opinion Gettit

Personally I didnt expect much at Fulham but for Martin to claim we were toe to toe is way off the mark whenever they had the bsll they cut though us like a hotknife through butter whereas we passed the ball to death with virtually zero penetration. Quite rightly comments were made about the quality of their squad yet their form had been indifferent losing to BLackpool an dReading and how did they do at Coventry on Saturday? Again I would normally be pleased with a draw at Derby but yet we managed 70% possesion and failed to trouble their keeper My concern is that whilst Martin dioes know how to coach a side to keep possesion and top the possesion table as he did last season at MK Dons and does this season thus far with us I am not sure he knows how to win or even stop losing....he had 65 games at MK Dons and 3 transfer windows. LAst season whilst being top of the tree for posseesion he olnly managed a win percenatage of 39% drawing 24% and losing 37%, this season to date we have a win percentage of 18% draw percentage of 45% and a loss percentage of 36% it will be intersting to see how this changes...my bet is the loss percentage will stay about the same and the drwas may become wins...but I am not convinced giving MArtin "time" and windows will take us forward...I think we will forever be a "safe" midtable club when things settle...not competitng for anything but there theres my take sorry if its draining

If yiu are honest,as I believe you are,and out people as liars ,guaranteed you be get ganged up upon. I detested Cooper but Insdmit, thus far,he is more of a manager than Russ will ever be. Cooper couldn’t talk that well and sounded and looked bland. Martin looks great sound better but infinitely more inept. Eventually he will be outed . Next up Cardiff and Baggies. If we lose those both, good luck with long term plan boys

Let’s hope you are right but I’m not yet convinced and Martin’s pedigree says nothing otherwise. Earlier in this thread I shared my thoughts based on Martin’s stats after 65 games of managing MKDons with 3 transfer windows I see nothing in them to make me believe it will be something fantastic whilst he may coach his sides to control possession he isn’t very adept at winning games. Unfortunately he has also been hamstrung with the club’s decision to sign players with a known history of injury these are the players continually being quoted as those that will make the difference….time will tell let’s hope you are right

I started off more in with the happy clappers, as games have passed I am more in the middle ground. I can see the improvments but I can also see the problems. I'm still giving Martin time though, trying to support what he's trying to do BUT he has to learn the lessons that many of us on here can see. Martin is stubborn thoufgh, it seems to me. He is determined to make square pegs round. Lets assume he is moderately succesful and in 2 years time we are a solid mid table team, would that be so bad? Then what if we change managers, the owners look to improve and try to find a manager to hone the attacking edge? Would that be wrong? OR, what if it's simply the case that Martin couldn't get the players he needs at MK and maybe he can here? What if, in 2 more windows we are an attacking force? It's all ifs, buts and maybe's but unless we give a manager space and time how will we ever know what he can do? Getting rid of a manager after a couple of months isn't going to solve anything. Stability and a long term plan by the owners might just be the best option. We've seen short termism, we've seen managers come and go at many clubs and what does chopping and changing achieve? At some point you need to settle on an option and try to make it work.

I am not advocating changing managers, my posts have been really about trying to get "the happy clappers" to focus and see beyond the increase in possession which many mistake for better football. I hope Martin does start to learn though the early signs do not appear so....MKDons appear to be doing slightly better this season is this down to a change in manager or the result of Martins work....they are winning more losing less and scoring more goals per game....their fans appear to think its due to change of approach...despite them still topping the possession table.. I hope Martin gets its right but the early signs are not great....I worry that it seems some of our fans would be happy to accept relegation that would be an utter disaster. My concerns are Martin continues to use round pegs in square holes .....refuses to give Whittaker some game time despite the fact we are not scoring goals and I dont think that will improve by adding another striker when we have the ball around the opposition box generally it is full of the opposition with no space or room we need to quicken up our approach play the goal at Fulham is a superb example of that.My worry is we never look like creating too many scoring chances the focus is always on keeping the ball and therefore no one seems to want to take a risk. For me I want the team to win....I also wont be happy watching Pullis type football but I found the Millwall and Hull games dull very dull 0-0 at home.....it was the same with Sheffield though there were some signs of hope soon to be washed away v Stoke. The jury is still out and I am not sure what the answer is should things not be working but Im not sure we should really be talking about 2 years?

The passing game with possession and accurate passing is the way forward. It takes time to transition from a 40% possession team to a 70% possession team in just 10 games. Some how Martin has done it. Almost all continental teams play like this. All the Croatian teams for example. I watched on line the Croatian u19 team stroke the ball around the wales team in defence like veterans. Welsh could not lay a glove on them with their super high intense press. Late on when in the Welsh box the Croatians were equally calm. No snatching at chance. Nice calm passing and a tap in to the unmarked man on the back stick. Swansea ripped Bradford apart at Wembley did you not see it? Hansen the 6 ft 3in centre forward was anonymous. Good accurate passing with one or to magicians like De Guzman Routledge and Hernandez to polish things off. Wayne has seen it all. Manchester Utd have been given lessons twice in three weeks by vastly less funded teams. Beaten by Young boys (under Wagner) and played off the park by Villareal who who very unlucky to lose last week. Swansea have to play like this to have any chance of being Premier league regulars.

BSC and Villareal may eb vastly less funded than Man Utd but they are still well ahead of us financially. I think BSC have won the Swiss Super League 4 times in a row. For us, attracting players good enough to play that kind of football is more of a challenge, even in this division there are several clubs who pay better than we can. When we were EPL the stadium needed expanding, even if only by 4-5000, we needed that ambition. It might have been a big chance missed.

I completely disagree. We could have been a 70% possession team last year if we wanted, even after 1 game. It’s not difficult. You just keep the ball in non dangerous areas. 70% “effective possession” is difficult though. If you have 70% of the ball then you should be getting 70% of the clear goal scoring chances too. However I think we have only had more shots on target than our opposition once this season when we have dominated possession to that sort of degree (60% or over). That was against Hull - and we drew 0-0. So far it’s not an intelligent change, it’s a simple one. We have decided to become less effective in order to stop the opponents having the ball more, for me it’s a negative attitude not a positive one. The focus is on taking away from the opposition, not enhancing ourselves. Which is why we have one of the least effective attacking games in the league. 9 goals in 11 games. . Entirely this. Martin is way behind the curve, in so many ways. Italy is now at the leading edge for Best In Class footballing prowess. A Winning machine of Effective and Efficient Football. They had 29% Possession against Spain in the Euros, yet similar Shots on Goal. And of course won, they won the whole darned thing. Winning is the name of the game, not Possession. It ain't rocket science. Italy wins it with clever pragmatism, solid defence, athletic vigour, graft and a will to win going forward - to score goals from clever chances created. Martine is way behind the times, in his vain attempts of Style over Substance. Doesn't wash with proper fans who want winning, cleverer football. . .

Is this the kind of post that traumatises? If so,get a life and quickly. Hammer the team and players is what fans do,then they cheer them from the rafters. Those who do not are described as having mental health issues. On this site. Anyone posting that is seriously in need of objectivity. . .
