Migrants getting in to the U.K. more than ever before ? 19:04 - Nov 12 with 10056 viewsKeithHaynes

Where do they all go ?
Yesterdays figures are surely concerning.
Surely from a financial point of view.

Migrants getting in to the U.K. more than ever before on 08:16 - Nov 26 by Brynmill_Jack

I heard a load of bull sheet on radio wales yesterday - an Afghan boy and his family managed to escape to the EU and then went on to say Britain was putting desperate peoples lives at risk.

Nonsense - they are no longer refugees escaping tyrannical regimes when the land in the EU.

This is a very dangerous and misleading price of propaganda. The majority are working age men, looking for a friendlier place than France and somewhere easier to work on the black market.

If Macron and the French want to moan at someone they should try Angela Merkel - it was her influence that opened the EU’s doors to mass migration. Let her and Germany sort it out.

You misunderstand the rule of law.
A refugee does not have to stay in the first country of safety

The fact is that some refugees do not want to stay in the first safe country they reach, nor are they under any legal obligation to do so.

But first, let us not forget that many refugees do actually stay in refugee camps. The Home Secretary is getting himself in a tissy because of a couple of hundred of refugees. According to UNHCR, the top five countries hosting refugees are Turkey (3.5 million), Uganda (1.4 million), Pakistan (1.4 million), Lebanon (1 million) and Iran (979,400).

It should also be noted that the ability to send asylum seekers back to safe countries they may have passed through is a law in the EU (Dublin Agreement) but we left and therefore doe not apply.

I assume they are also down on a hundred years ago as well.

Oooo. Clever comment.
What does the thread headline state?
Is it true?
No.
As for figures in 1921 … not sure as immigration laws had not been defined. However, ' By 1937 the total numbers of people arriving by air reached 37,348, still a paltry number when compared to the numbers arriving by sea, 498,326.The numbers arriving at seaports would continue to rise, but would be outstripped by the late 1950s by the rise of air travel.''
Britain is an island of immigrants and refuges.

I think you need to look at things a bit more closely ?

As opposed to whatever it is you are ‘trying’ to say, spit it out.
In the meantime try and work out the difference between a statement of fact and a question.

I understand what you put but there is a point that you seem to have missed. These refugees are not in a dangerous country when they are in France, they are away from whatever they wanted to escape so the UK isn't risking their lives.

I agree with the notion of us establishing safe routes so we can stop the people traffickers and save lives but I am hacked off by the French attitude to this. We had a deal with them and gave them tens of millions to fund it but it turns out they could never keep that deal because of French law,

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news

So France signed a deal with us and took our money knowing they could never keep their end of it. Bojo deserves the vast majority of what's said about him but surely nobody can defend the French in this, Bojo is a liar and the French lied to us, took our money and then accused us of stuff. It doesn't get any more shitty than what France did, Macron and Darmanin are just French Bojo's.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

The unsustainable/catastrophic mass immigration numbers of type that WOKE/lefty loonies want and what Corbyns Labour was advocating prior to the last general election?

The idiots that wanted no number control/no upper-limit, incorporating a U.K open border policy for mass immigration, applicable to the entire world i.e. ANYONE/EVERYONE outside of the U.K. All comers welcome, just for the sheer hell of it? Or to rig the voting system i.e. ten thousand here, ten thousand there, these in that marginal those in another..... Utter madness!

So how many million did these people want to enter the U.K every year? One million? Two million? Three million? More? What planet do they live on?

FFS people cannot see a G.P, cannot get an NHS dentist, are (Covid made it even worse) waiting years for operations, ambulances can take over a day to arrive, social services are under severe strain along with housing allocation.

Keep it real, have it controlled, sensible and manageable, have it vetted and apply common f-ing sense! You cannot pour a pint into a half pint glass!

Yep!.... Those moderates and non-extremists that apply reality, rational thinking, intelligence, critical thinking skills, streetwise savvy and common sense and ask relevant questions? Are the new Nazi's apparently! What an insult to those that suffered under proper Nazi rule!

The aforementioned moderates and non-extremists do rather offend those left-loonies whom use imaginary 'offence' to shut down democracy, debate and questions they are either afraid of or are utterly incapable of replying to!

Close all detention centres.
Ensure unconditional right to family reunion.
Maintain and extend free movement rights.
End “no recourse to public funds” policies.
Scrap all Hostile Environment measures, use of landlords and public service providers as border guards, and restrictions on migrants’ NHS access.

Not just Corbyn . our own glorious leader

https://research.senedd.wales/
but there was/is opposition
https://business.senedd.wales/

Text of petition:
The Welsh government and public groups, are actively promoting Wales as "a nation of sanctuary" for foreign
nationals (refugees and asylum seekers) to come and live in Wales. This is NOT the will of the majority of the
people in Wales. The Welsh government have yet to consult with their constituents (ie the Welsh nation),
regarding this matter. If Wales becomes the Nation of Sanctuary, the Welsh heritage will very quickly be eroded
away.
On https://wales.cityofsanctuary. they state (and i quote) "We’re pleased we already have the support of
Welsh Government and have started some really exciting work with universities, the health service and trade
unions". Just because a very small minority of people in Wales, are willing to open their arms, homes and
country to refugees and asylum seekers, that DOES NOT represent the majority of the Welsh nation.
We as a nation simply can not sustain any more refugees and asylum seekers to be placed/housed in Wales. The
Welsh government can not afford to look after people and families that are struggling to put food on the table
or a roof over their heads as is. There are thousands of people/families (including children) that are homeless in
Wales and require urgent help. The money saved by not accepting these refugees and asylum seekers into
Wales, could go towards helping people of Wales that really need it.

The NHS and care system is held up by foreign nations though isn’t it?

I’m not for one minute advocating a free for all - just a functioning system that’ll stop the need for people to cross the channel on inflatables.

Nah THE ENTIRE WORLD is what they wanted! Reported in Labour rag The Guardian!

Quote:

"Labour members have voted overwhelmingly to give full voting rights to all UK residents, committing the party to extend the franchise to millions of immigrants.

A motion tabled by the Labour Campaign for Free Movement was passed at the party’s conference in Brighton on Wednesday morning, after MPs were forced to rush back to Westminster to attend the newly reconvened House of Commons.

As well as extending voting rights, the text commits a future Labour government to closing all immigration detention centres, ending “no recourse to public funds” policies and seeking to extend free movement rights to people around the world."

When granted residency you should have voting rights.

Closing dentition centres would be a good thing, wouldn’t it?

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if there were french officials in collusion with the people smugglers. Probably British ones too.

There’s a lot of money flying around. The price of the average ticket is over £4000 and they fit 40+ in a boat. The border patrol could be easily encouraged to look the other way in exchange for a Brucie Bonus that doubles their wage for a month.

There’s no way they don’t know where they are operating from. There was footage on the news the other day with a boat of migrants launching into the sea, they must have been only a few hundred yards from the port of Calais. If a bbc journalist can find them why can’t the french police?

Yes but that was the people showing common sense. It was Labour party policy under Corbyn so I take it that any Corbynista, Corbyn supporter (whatever you want to call them) agreed with it, unless you can name any that spoke against it?

People who objected to mass immigration were accused of being racists, it was a witch hunt designed to shut down debate, shut down opposition. Politics is rife with it. They lie, they obfuscate and they hope we'll fall for it.

Oh I completely agree Catt.

But it works the other way to. The shutdown in the other direction is calling liberals ‘woke’. It’s become the rights version of the lefts crying ‘racists’.

As usual the solution lies somewhere in the middle. Shouting ‘racist’ or ‘woke’ doesn’t help.

We're on the same page, mostly. There is some woke nonsense going on too. The solution is to stop shouting down people and work to find answers.

Shouting down seems to have taken over.
