Many people who did hold house parties were prosecuted and fined using emergency laws introduced by H.M. Government. The fact that the PM held similar events in his taxpayer funded home and offices during the same period of time despite these laws being introduced is evidence of both hypocrisy and elitism.
Very well said.

No maybes about it.
If you are the law maker you follow the laws.
The fact that ordinary plebs may not is irrelevant.
Hey, I'm fully behind that second line and if there is proof that the government broke any laws then everybody involved should be facing a police investigation and possibly charges if anything is proven.
Even so, anybody who broke the law themselves can hardly complain, unless they want to hand themselves in in a fit of honesty!

How embarrassing that labour have reported it to the police. You think the police have enough to do jailing labour MPs without investigating a year old accusation.
Not embarrassing at all. Look at some of the cases where students have had house parties and been fined £10k for having a party. If I’d been prosecuted for breaching the Covid laws, I’d be livid if Boris and a bunch of other Government officials had done something similar and got away with it by virtue of who they are. The law of the land should apply to all the citizens in the Courtney, regardless of who they are.
Boris is PM, he should be setting the standard and leading by example.

Or as I have said several times, the law of the land should mean greater punishments if the people who make the law, or are supposed to uphold it, break those laws.
Any government employee that attended this party (assuming it happened) should face the maximum sanction and any ministers should resign in disgrace.

Was it legal work gathering or a party . Please supply evidence if you have any.
The Times, which is normally a very reliable publication is reporting Secret Santa gifts being exchanged and a quiz taking place. Doesn’t sound like a cabinet meeting.

There has to be evidence though. Without evidence it just adds more accusation to the growing list. It doesn't matter what we believe, it doesn't matter that we know this government is more than capable of ordering us to do one thing then doing as they please, we have to prove it.
Bojo has all his brown nosers out denying it but it's just another smell that won't go away.

Doesn’t have to be an employee, could be a minister or anyone in public office. There is an offence of Misconduct in Public Office which could be applied - it won’t be though.

I did mention ministers. These people think they can do as they please, we need to make so much noise that they realise they can't.
Standards, behaviour, it starts at the top. When they behave in such a manner it gives everybody else an excuse to do as they please too. Whenour leaders behave like selfish idiots why should they expect the rest of us to behave any differently.
Boris being the appalling narcissist he is should have simply “ shut down” Christmas and simply sat at home with his partner reflecting on their advantages from birth . With privilege comes responsibility .He has none .
Christmas will see more unnecessary deaths
Just don’t say you can rely on the British common sense

To be clear, Johnson has not denied it. He just says all covid laws were followed.
He seems to be wilfully ignoring the fact that it was the party itself that was a breach of the law.
Someone will snitch on him, seems 30 to 40 people at least were there. The Met will have signed them all in as well.
I think he is in big trouble …. ðŸ¤ðŸ˜·

If it's true that members of the government were spotted inside 10 Downing Street, I'm afraid it could be the end of not only Boris but the Conservative Party's hopes at the next General Election as well.
Sir Keir must be licking his lips. No wonder he's stepping up his efforts to rid the party of the far left.

He says all covid laws were followed which is saying there wasn't an illegal gathering, he hasn't outright denied a party, but he hasn't confirmed one happened either.
Again, it has to be proven, until there's proof it's just an accusation.

Yeah, who would expect to see members of the government in the building where members of the government hold meetings.
Was there a party is the question? If anybody can prove there was then there should be repercussions.

I'm wondering how long it is before someone comes forward with the evidence. I wonder if the Daily Mirror will pay enough money for it.
