You are being very kind with disappointment, it was an absolute disgrace we didn't turn up.

A total embarrassment

I always promoted Cooper adapting rather than moving him on. He needed to bring in faster players and amend his style to be more progressive. He presumably has new input from his new team with Marsh not joining him.

Perhaps he has realised himself he was not quite good enough at Swansea and changed his methods with his new team of coaches..

He has inherited Brennan Johnson which is his luck as possibly Spense too adding pace he did not have at Swansea.

maybe Martin will get the same epiphany

That boring Cooper no shape what so ever as a manager ok he has taken Forest from bottom of the league to the brink of the play offs without any pre season, has stuffed us scoring 4 goals in the process and has just smashed Leicester but apart from that what has he done getting us into two play offs and a Wembley final does not count they were flukes anyway.

You forgot to mention dumping Arsenal out in the last round.

How can anyone know what happened if they didn’t go?

Fantastic result for Forest, looks close to a full team for Leicester too. It is a little depressing seeing their trajectory from languishing rudderless bottom of the league and finishing 18th the year before.

It’s been a remarkable turnaround. When he took over people said “now we will see if he is a good manager”, alluding to the fact he had taken over a team that hadn’t had a play-off finish since the 2010/11 season and were propping up the league.

Some have gone quiet, others are bizarrely trying to make out that Forest are a play-off side anyway.

He’s our most successful football league manager since Brendan, looks like he will remain that way for some time too.

Brentford were odds on favourites going into the game, the result was expected, especially with us going down to 10 men.

It’s strange we can lose 4-1 at home to Forest who haven’t done anything of note in over a decade and all is well, we lose in a play off final and the manager is a fraud and we didn’t turn up.

People eh?

Cooper had all summer to consider the Wembley surrender and looks as if he is adapted. He has taken on a new assistant manager Reid who maybe had had an influence. Perhaps even Tate has been given a bigger role.

I promoted Cooper refreshing his backroom team very much as Sir Alex used to do and Brendan. Monk was advised to do this and refused and was given his cards. Young managers like young players cannot stop evolving and therefore need to bring in new ideas. Reid has clearly been d good for Cooper. His football is fast and entertaining now. It was not at Swansea.

He's inherited a team with pace & power which he's using brilliantly to be fair to him.
We didn't play that way because we didn't didn't have those attributes in our squad. How much of that was down to his choice in players & how much that was down to the recruitment team I guess we'll never know.

He got shat on last January and lost his way, I reckon, the fact we actually got Wembley was a bonus.

Brendan will bounce back he's to good a manger not to, Jenkins could have had him back here, but couldn't make any promises/guarantee's to him about Transfers etc and turned in another direction.

Cooper is a football league manager.
Laudrup and even Monk were Premier League managers.
Big difference from the Championship

He was undoubtedly shat on in January, like Martin this January.
I think Brendan's time is just about up at Leicester, it'll be interesting to see where he goes next.

Not so sure, plenty in the media questioning his position now & he's criticised the players after yesterday's loss - that may be justifiable but doesn't usually work these days.
I hope he does turn it around though.

You said you think Martin will guide Swansea to finishing above them this season and the squads were similar, that wasn’t all that long ago.

Football league.

Please also note above.
Football league ( against mostly shite opposition) = Cooper
Premier League ( against some of the best teams in Europe and certainly Englsnd) = Laudrup

I didn’t compare, you did.

Hence why I said “football league”.

I can only assume you don’t know what the football league is:

What you actually said was "
"He’s our most successful football league manager since Brendan, looks like he will remain that way for some time too."
The Premier League, Championship, National League, etc are all football leagues by definition, so my point stands.
Had you actually said "English Football League" or "Championship" then there would be no room for discussion.

Well I wasn’t talking about the Spanish Football League was I.

The football league is the Championship, League 1 and League 2.

Then there is the Premier League.

It’s ok to just say you jumped in too quick again and got it wrong, it would save you going all round the houses and digging holes for yourself. I won’t think any less of you.

If I wasn’t making a distinction between leagues then I would have just said “most successful manager since Brendan”.

Come on now, stop being silly.
