Blackpool v Swansea City : Matchday Thread 21/22 02:59 - Mar 9 with 15832 viewsNotLoyal

Swansea welcome back players for their Blackpool trip this weekend 9th Mar 2022 22:39
Despite ( as it stands ) the omission of Ryan Manning after his sending off on Tuesday night the swans will have two players returning to the fold for the trip to Blackpool on Saturday. Approximately 1,650 Swansea City fans are expected to be in attendance with Russell Martin once again finding himself in recovery mode after yet another heavy defeat. 0

That old Blackpool magic that Russell Martin and Swansea City need to find 11th Mar 2022 09:00
Russell Martin leads his side north to Blackpool today for another Sky Bet Championship league game. Having put their away day complex to one side against West Bromwich Albion last time out the swans now have a different type of challenge at Bloomfield Road tomorrow. 0

Good and bad news for Russell Martin before Blackpool away 11th Mar 2022 13:46
Proving once again he’s a hard man to read, an d that’s putting it mildly Russell Martin has revealed this morning that Nathanael Ogbeta will be in the squad for tomorrow’s game at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool. However, his inclusion looks like it’s merely about gaining some experience of being in a match day squad, so the best he can hope for is a sub appearance. 0

Swansea City sleep walk their way to another defeat at Blackpool 12th Mar 2022 17:29
A traditional start for Swansea City resulted in an early Gary Madine goal for Blackpool after some blatant fouling in the swans penalty area. Such is the luck of the swans at present the referee decided to ignore the infringements which freed up Madine to head home. The real issue for the swans in that defensive passage was once again their lack of awareness and concentration. Again sleeping when they should have been really alert. 0

Russell Martin accused by Blackpool Gazette : You are bizarre ‘Comments examined’ 13th Mar 2022 10:58
Was Russell Martin watching the same game as the majority yesterday ? Some of the reports on his comments and beliefs after the game have been laughed at by journalists reporting on yesterday’s loss to Blackpool. 0

It’s slow and turgid, and our possession retention in the last third is awful. ATM.

From one of the whats app groups I’m on. Have to laugh there’s swans fans littered all along the outside of the stadium in differing states of lucidity.

the same could be said for some of the players on the pitch

But they aren’t in those positions…

Got so annoyed at Smith playing at fullback that i lost my sense of what side they were.
Still a load of rubbish either way.

They weren’t outmuscled, he had his arms around their necks holding them back illegally.

I’m referring to the midfield.

However, I agree on their goal. But they should have used their strength to shake off the challenge or go down.

Good the look of one of those games where we just sleep walk to a loss. Maybe Blackpool will nick another but we're just not at it and the bench is pointless.

I’m surprised Flynn Downes didn’t go off for that challenge such is our luck.

Actually scrub that. Its looking like Blackpool could comfortably score a few more, not nick them.

Decent save from Fisher, but Madine was climbing on Cabango

Safe passing with a diagonal punt is our method of attack today. I would just like to see the players play on instinct rather than our boring training ground drills.

Even when you know, you never know?

It's a Madine love in as far as Kami is concerned. He needs a clip....both of them need a clip.

We don't seem to have noticed that the high ball in to the area causes havoc between their defense and goalkeeper.
Little chips may work well.
Again we have no one prepeared to have a go at goal.

Awful, awful first half. Could easily be down to 10 men, 2 down. Glad I’ve only travelled for an hour.
