I have said it before and will say it again, some say that we have a better squad this season and should be pushing for a play off place with some even stating play offs at the very least.......its totally bizarre. Gone past discussing it with those individuals, can't reason with stubbornes. |

Thank God for that. Although there is a rather large difference between “reason” and just spewing unsubstantiated nonsense.

Daps. You're becoming ever more ridiculous. Even next door is using you as a barometer for ridicule. You're undermining the efforts of this site and it's unique purpose. Raise your game, think wider and deeper before spouting your endless nonsense. We are in freefall and all you do is continue to bleat to the tune of a losing Martinball anthem. Grow up.

AC, let's get something correct here.....the next door neighbours have mentioned a few on dispatches here as this house does about them and you yourself have been mentioned, DO YOU REALLY CARE!? They or us are not the rule book but I am a person of better standard to not have a pop in public regards the neighbours. I understand where we are as a club, the situation Martin is in and despite not being entirely happy I understand the issues at hand and the real pitfalls we should be worried about rather than the ones people are banging the nonsense drum against. We are hardly in free fall........ If that were the case we would be preparing ourselves for the league below us next season. Pull yourself together AC and calm the hysteria.

You are obviously in the know so please do share these limitations Martin is contending with If you are referring to loss of players I think most agree Ayew and Lowe have more than been replaced with Piroe and Obafemi we have added Downes, Paterson, Ntcham. we no longer have the burden of the wages of the £80K per week striker ....... It is nit bizarre to say this seasons squad is better than last, the balance may have shifted last season we had a stronger defence this season our midfield and attack is stronger. We played to our strengths last season what are we doing this season? Are these the same limitations Martin was contending with last season at MKDons when he achieved a similar set of results, possession and league position using the same tactics and style of play?

Good post. I am disillusioned with Martin atm, but yes freefall suggests having gone from say top four to bottom three. We are a mid table team in no danger of going down. Hardly freefall. Just Dyss being hysterical

I have highlighted the limitations time and time again, clearly you won't accept it. Martin hasn't covered himself in glory but it's clear the style he wants to implinent can work, myself personally have stated that we need to go to aback 4 with Wingers and this style can really kick on. I just can't understand when posters say that Martin is too stubborn to change but when we win its because we changed style, something doesn't sound right there does it!?

The limitation is Martin himself clearly you wont accept it HE is not utilising his resources to best advantage instead insits in playing "his way" You are correct when we have won it is often when Martin has changed things yet he always reverts to type . As has been pointed out he says the smae things in interviews now as he was saying last year at MKDons. HE has a potent atcking force in Piroe and Obafemi he is still playing Piroe out of postion..we do not have the pesronnel here to adopt the formation with a back 4 though maybe if we recalled Garrick we could have a proper go. 37 games in and noe improvement, now we have to wait until the transfer window and let him waste more money like he did with Fisher? The problem is he isnt changing he still is persevering with a style and formation that is not working. as Saturday showed....

Yep, every now and again we will play direct and win. Then we inexplicably decide to revert to the short passing at all costs nonsense. What amazed me more is certain people can’t see the difference between both and think they are both the same.

Yes it is odd that he cannot change yet has changed enough to put us on target for a 50 + finish at least ? Must be doing something right ?

But not enough or often enough This blind support for him is crazy...amazingly from fans who have supported the club over many years and by now should be able to recognise that a manager is not up to the task. This squad is capable of more than a 50 point finish if properly managed l am, waiting to see the responses come December when we are still just midtable and with a similar set of stats to this season......book mark this please [Post edited 30 Mar 2022 10:21]

Since when has a 50 point Championship finish been “good”? Usually gets you around 19th/20th place. Is that really the aim now? Last 3 seasons:-

I dont have blind support for him. My feelings this season have covered the whole spectrum. However life is too short to be down in the doldrums all season. Have to be optimistic as the alternatives don't bear thinking about.

Why don’t you try being realistic?

Life is too short to be a miserable sod like you, AC and Perch. Over Swans history much of our time has been poor. I have been lucky enough to enjoy the two best periods in our history ( Tosh's reign and the post Petty run to and including the EPL days ) So much going on in real life that makes football unimportant and just a diversion. So will like many fans enjoy each good moment and not dwell too much on what isn't working. As for your above answer I actually said a 50+ finish. Most sensible fans expected nothing more this season, so yes will be a decent finish and a good platform to build on for next season

Realism doesn’t mean misery, it means realism. If you think the reality isn’t very good then that says it all. You are still moaning about the playoffs now, it’s incredible it has taken Martin and his awful football for you to see perspective. 50+ includes 50 points then doesn’t it? You have moaned more than most about Martin in the last few weeks, don’t think you can go crawling back without anyone noticing just because your mates haven’t followed you. I see you.
