Gower, Pembs, Brecon, Ceredigion...lovely places where I travel and work, as are many other parts of Wales. Love going across to Devon and Cornwall for holidays. I also do work in Gloucester Hereford, Worcestershire areas . These counties have stunning landscape. I like to think along with Wales that this my country also. Which of course it is.
I meet loads of first , second and third generation Welsh in these areas. When you tell them you're from Swansea, their eyes light up! Invariably we end up taking about Mumbles, Gower etc. I spoke to one guy in Malvern from the Rhondda who was about late sixties too early seventies and asked him why he was living there.Basically his parents upped sticks when he was young because they didn't want their children to work down the mines . He still had a bit of a South Waleian accent too. | | | |

We don't plan on interfering, having a granny flat doesn't mean we'd stick our noses in. I plan on travelling but having a home to go back to. I plan on helping financially and being there when asked but not being there when not wanted.
Don't assume anyway, my son could be gay or transgender.
Or, at another tack, maybe her parents would fancy the same arrangement and we could have 2 granny flats. They may be happy to have inbuilt baby sitters, gardeners and shoppers when needed. Or maybe the daughter in law would be grateful to have a nicer home than maybe they could afford otherwise?
