Some of the bigger countries won’t have a problem with this vaccinated/ non vaccinated issue as they’ll have strength in depth- we don’t have that luxury and need our best players available.

If the Qatari authorities are insistent on players being vaccinated so be it - being upfront early doors is good because it gives our Page and our players a chance to have a think about it and they have 3 to 4 months to sort a vaccine out should they need to.

Players shouldn’t be pressured in to a vaccine, it’s their choice, but neither should they complain if they end up being left behind. Given our track record of qualification, this could be thei4vonly chance so they may need to think long and hard.

Would interrupt the clubs they play for schedules ? And their countries logistics.

Good. When I went to work in Ghana I had to have all sorts of jabs yellow fever diphtheria tetanus I can’t remember the specifics I had about five or six in total. If I didn’t have them I couldn’t go. It’s just part and parcel of a job requirement. If you don’t agree to the terms and conditions of that job you don’t get that job. It’s simple enough.

None of those vaccines that you were inoculated with had only emergency approval did they. They weren’t experimental at that time (unlike the MRNA technology) , had been proven beyond doubt to be safe with very few adverse events. Those illnesses have a very dangerous threat to people of all ages and I’ve had a lot for travel to the Far East which I had no hesitation in so doing.

I applaud the players for their common sense and questioning the “science”. At the moment, with the variants now like flu these ridiculous mandates should be stopped.

If these vaccines are safe beyond doubt why did they insist on legal indemnity?

Pfizer announced to its shareholders recently the likelihood of a bad year ahead as they were forced to admit that they would likely never get full non emergency FDA approval. (They can’t provide guarantees of efficacy or safety). Footballers it seems aren’t so thick (as they’re often stereotyped) after all.

Each time I go to Bedd - au........................

I'd have thought it quite simple.

No jabs and you won't be playing in Wales' first World Cup finals appearance in 64 years.

I don't see the problem.

I would like to take this opportunity to alert Robert Page to the fact that I am fully vaccinated.

I suspect footballers do not have the logic of your reply. They are more likely to distrust the science not on the basis of science and regulations but more likely, on rumour, conspiracy theories on line nonsense and cultural outlooks.

Certain cultural groups in the UK distrust the Government.

All medicine and vaccines have side effects and one or two bad outcomes. It is part of the business. It becomes a matter of statistics. Save 25,000 lives or lose one life.

Mmm…wondering who voted for a World Cup in the Middle East in the first place.
I mean it’s only disrupted the schedule for the footballing world around the planet.

IFIFA members voted for it democratically. It is the world cup and Middle East can afford it. South Africa could afford it and so can China. If they were blocked from winning any bids FIFA would be accused of being a 'White Christian Imperialist club'.

This World cup FIFA had concerns about the welfare of players and fans but not about welfare of workers. To safe guard players and fans they moved it to the Winter months. It could, and has been accomodated. They underestimated or more probably did not understand or care about the welfare of construction workers. One hopes thing have improved in the long term.

Clearly in the bidding process (if we assume it was done fairly) the consideration of construction workers and their contracts and H&S rules needs to be taken into consideration A developed western consultancy could advise and manage these risks. When corruption takes place these issues barely register and are palmed off by smooth PR companies.

A a football fan the disturbance of the British game barely registers. In fact it is new and exciting. I hope it will be not affect the Christmas period games.

Appreciate what you’re saying but the Finals were originally scheduled for August I believe. The only ones who didn’t appreciate the heat were allegedly the people who innocently voted for it. It beggars belief if I’m being honest.

I suspect the players have glibly believed nonsense on social media and from other spurious sources as you have done.

The Pfizer vaccine received full, non emergency approval by the FDA for use in adults nearly a year ago with Moderna not long after. It's a damn sight safer than getting covid, they all are.

Any adult who can think for themselves has been jabbed up. Surely that is obvious from the anti-vax BS written on here? It's been two years of easily discredited rubbish.

I don't think any form of vaccine mandate has a place anymore in most countries, ironically because the vaccines have been so successful.
