| Swansea fans 18:45 - Aug 10 with 5713 views | pencoedjack | Do we give managers enough time? Feel I have been very supportive of Martin (as I always am with managers)but along with what seems like the majority that support has gone. We have been pretty lucky with managers with a few going onto bigger things. Is a year enough time for a manager before the fans turn or have we been spoilt in recent years? | | | | |

Perhaps its because some are too p!ssed off to post when we lose and more to point debate with people who revel in us losing just so they can have a go at the manager.

What's a happy clapper, someone like me who follows us home and away, and supports the club as well the manager.

Where you watch is irrelevant to the definition. But it’s someone who believes there is some fantasy fan points you win simply by being positive in all situations even when what is happening is far from positive. Those that intentionally turn a blind eye to things and create a false bubble of positivity; who then attack anyone that threatens that bubble by daring to be realistic.

It depends how we play. If we give away 3 silly passing around the defence goals and Piroe bangs in 4 long range screamers… it will feel the same as a loss. A bit like when Bob Bradley was in charge of the 5-4 win over Palace. Never been so annoyed after a victory before.

I d say yes.that describes it perfectly. One who glories in being a fan rather than the club itself

| Swansea fans on 20:58 - Aug 12 by AndyCole | Bravo. It's such the thing isn't it. Happy clappers out in force only when we win; no rationale whatsoever when we lose. The very best always learn from their mistakes, and kick on. The happy clappers simple bury their heads, time immemorial. And still no rationale from the sleepy clappers for still blindly supporting brand Martinball. Staggering, in the extreme. . |
Same with the negative ones like you AC. Nowhere to be seen when we have a good win or string of good results. If RM wins the next three will you be on here praising them ? I won't hold my breath

It’s weird to post on a rivals message board? Really? Surely far weirder to spend your days on here goading people for daring to be realistic? I think you may be heading for a ban very shortly. You have entered entanglements with people who are simply far more knowledgeable than you and your trolling is dragging the site down. Cut it out, you are out of your depth.

| Swansea fans on 17:08 - Aug 12 by STID2017 | Nothing objective about your views at all - just negative. As to " chums " I have told you umpteen times any views or opinions I post are mine, not related to the views of others. In fact there is often discourse in views with other posters I know, but in the end we are all capable of presenting balanced views and accepting others viewpoints. Sadly not the case with yourself and several others on here |
You seem so confused, conflicted. 'Balanced views ' is so inappropriate nowadays mun. A few of us were realists when Coops was here - we supported his winning brand through thick and thin. Realism is king. We were labelled as bad, optimists, half-fullists. The level of pessimism amongst the gang was outrageously hideous. The vitriol spouted against our Winning manager was horrendous. Conversely nothing like the rational, sensible, level-headed critique nowadays of Martinball. How about the Martinistas like you now flipping 360 : instead of lashing out at rational thinkers for critiquing Martinball, post some rationale for supporting Martin right now. To date I've yet to hear anything meaningful, anything of note, nothing, nada. Other than : I'm optimistic it'll come good. Simply not good enough and hence the frustration amongst the rational thinkers when all we hear is blind faith and then criticism of those that constructively critique Martinball. The ball is now firmly with the remaining Martinball folk to offer something meaningful, something cogent as a glimmer of hope in amongst the nothingness, the black hole of blind faith. It's truly staggering. And btw stid- who the heck should be looking to post a balanced view on a football fans forum who's bread n butter is proper, insightful opinions - this ain't Mumsnet. Bonkers snowflakeism, borne of outer suburban, bored no-knobs .

So together with your previous post about "pummeling someone half my age into pebbles like one on Blackpool beach" ( not your exact words but definitely the jist of it ) am I to assume you are condoning violence? You were doing okay for a while, seems this last week or so your dark side is coming out again. Very worrying

Its embarrassing for a man in his 70s to say stuff like that, it isn't the first time and it won't be the last. I would love to be there today and bump into him to see what he would do, no matter what he did I would do just one thing, laugh my head off

It is indeed sad for a man who at his age seems to be condoning violence. Also Kerouac down arrowed you. Perhaps he condones it too ? It is a football game. No place for violence
