He has 2 more years on his contract. We could be starting a new season in League 2 by then. If the owners want any chance of getting a return on their investment then they have to find some money to get him out. Then next time, offer 12 month contracts

not really Keith....I was answering Treforus.....but yes less than a year ago I highlighted the issues but I certainly take no high ground....I'm annoyed at where we find ourselves......I fear for us....I remember our last fall from our flirtation with the top flight back then our ownership and executive were local and fans...that is not true of today...I take no delight or have any sense of superiority in that post it's more pointed at the crap posted because my opinion was different and differed from a clique who are noticable by their absence of late

I realise that, but my posts on here are not the website view. They are under my name. You coukd say the same about any manager who has been sacked, there’s quite a few.

Good and it shows you have passion and are spiky. This is what our club needs but it must be chanelled properly. I wish I lived near you although you might well feel different..

The list is endless of the opposite though Keith.
Whenever we win a game someone will say “I told you that we just needed patience” and “some on here could see what he was trying to do and we said he needed time” - all used as a stick to beat those who clearly called it right.
Not sure which of the site article writers penned it but there was also an article “he told you it would get better, and so did we!” - which caused a stir and pretty much invited a load of abuse for anyone who spoke out with regards to how he was approaching it.
We have had it from all angles for the last 12 months, being called all sorts of names having our motives questioned, our love for the club questioned - it’s been rather vile.
I don’t blame anyone who points out their clear vindication after the way they have been treated on here.

It seems that Martin has good ideas and good principle but cannot enact them on the field of play. The answer is fresh blood in the coaching department. It is not clear why Williams left but it was a bad omen. Perhaps he could see where Martin was going wrong.?
Winter should stir the pot and give him 3 games to get improvement or someone like Graham Jones will be added to his coaching team.
Bring in a new assistant with clout. Martin has surrounded himself with "young men £ he can control. The idea of being challenged was a myth. He is not even challenged in Press conferences.

That actually is a genius idea - if his contract has enough flexibility to allow it. After all, they did it to Andy Scott.
All of which points to Julian Winter and the surprising lack of flak he is getting at the moment. Why on earth wasn’t Martin put on a one-year rolling contract? Were we that desperate to land him when he wasn’t even our first choice for manager?
