If we were 22nd after 30 games I'd agree with you but it was a handful of games.

The point I was trying to make we weren't as bad as that position, as our subsequent form showed

Our form improved as a result of a sea change in the way we played...

Cooper played totally differently with Forest. Credit to him, he played the way he felt best suited the players at both clubs.

The way we play now still very much has Martins stamp on it, it’s just a more sensible, less extreme version. Unless Martinball only referred to the aspects of it we didn’t like?

I agree Jack

We still play passing football but we do not have an aim of possession for possessions sake.

We did play out from the back under Cooper though many choose to ignore /forget that but we have moved on we have a new manager ..and as you say there are some Martineesque traits but we have cut out a lot of reh crap .....and the brand of football is different to that previously labelled as Martin ball.

there was a thread posted about the site slipping back into "bad " ways as a result of certain posters returning that thread seems to have been taken down yet tonight on this thread there have been "attacks " as opinions differ and arguments cannot be substantiated resulting on continued posts "attacking" individuals opinions which are not aligned to the "clique"

Amazing really

Martinball has evolved. All part of the process.
Teach them how to pass.
Then on to the next stage.
Great management.
Keep those fist pumps coming. The crowd stayed for them yesterday. Again.
I like Martinball. As do most.

Maybe the current martinball yes Im not so sure there would be many there for thre fistpumps had he continued with what we delivered against Luton etc.....remember there werent many there after that game.

Accept it Martin has revised his approach we now play a different way and as a reult we are where this squad should be in the league

We all welcome this new MArtinball but dont kid yourself its part of the process!

We are now at stage 2. I guess you found stage 1 boring. You will enjoy stage 3.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Why cant people accept we are playing a different way?

Martinball was a label givenn to the style and way we played previously as i said earlier you used to talk of Cooperball but did we see "Cooperball" as played here when Forest played us last season?

the key thing is Martin has ditched his previous approach though he did for a period last season then reverted to type

Bring out the bullys Iam waiting

Bully's? Wow you are sensitive tonight vetch.

Ateotd Martin has slighly changed the way we play so what should we call that then? Martinball 2?

And btw I never referred to the way cooper played us as cooperball.

I wasnt wrong though daps I am praising him now as he has changed the style of play...

We are playing a different way to the Martinball we saw last season and again at the start of this...Had he continued with his preferred way he would be sacked by now!

Correct, for some reason he doesn’t seem to understand that.

Being critical of a terrible approach and insisting he just change it, doesn’t become “wrong” after he does just that and we win.

It’s correct, not incorrect. Sadly there are a few posters that seem determined to conflate the two in order to save face.
