Whereas towering political figures like Mogg, Johnson, Patel, Braverman, Rabb, Mad Nads, Gove etc are all individuals of immense talent who work tirelessly to serve the people of the UK, or should that be serve themselves. 🇬🇧💩

Is that why when Wales get its own Government as an option, less than 50% bother to vote in every election since its inauguration.

| And they ask why Wales votes labour on 12:41 - Oct 26 by BarrySwan | These figures are so staggeringly high for Wales in comparison to the other UK countries that quite frankly no difference in accounting gets anywhere near touching the scale of the problem. And of course are nothing new, continuing a long term well reported trend. In regards to the ambulance service in Wales ( not referring to front line staff) its been a shambolic disaster for decades with target figures first relaxed then relaxed more then finally abandoned as the scale of the ineptness by senior staff continues unabated, The A&E scandal which does of course encompass the amount of ambulances lined up outside for hours with patients is also a long term disaster that we in Wales have experienced for years. |
They are high, but are they comparing apples with pears? The article mentions operations, but the figure for Wales is actually for “procedures” which is much wider than just operations which the English and Scottish figures could refer to. The BMA have stated there are 7 million people waiting for treatment, so statistically something isn’t right. Ambulances are a huge issue, the source of a lot of the problems is a fundamental lack of capacity in the care sector.

It's even Westminster's fault that Welsh people can't be bothered to vote.

Don't they realise that if the Senedd worked with Westminster irrespective of it being Labour or Conservatives we in Wales would be better off. The phrase "we do it differently in Wales" only causes friction and is no good for us in the long run.

| And they ask why Wales votes labour on 20:31 - Oct 25 by Catullus | Yes, what we need is a genuine alternative to Labour AND the tories. Both have been a massive shitshow for the UK and Wales. The NHS has way too many managers, wastes money hand over fist and if I told you some of the things I know that I shouldnt know you'd be horrified, even by current standards of horrified. Put it this way, the payouts to claims of medical negligence has risen by quite a bit. |
I think ive mentioned on here before Cat that we are a small nation and our NHS could be transformed with some forward non political thinking. Employ a CEO who has experience in healthcare and who can make changes where needed quickly, and employ best practice across Wales. Some parts of the NHS are fantastic, get a high PSA score and there is a scan and lubed rubber glove done and dusted within a couple of weeks. As for dentists funny how good and efficient they are when privately run, no waiting and 4 appointments a year if wanted. I also think that we need more non-degree nursing (SEN) with commensurate pay and cottage hospitals reopened where possible. Also this agency malarkey needs to be looked at and sorted out same with education as well as its costing a fortune. And i do believe you, funny thing is i had a bad family experience last year which i wont go into but when people and familyenquired i was amazed to find out it was not unusual. We desperatly need Drakeford to relinquish or employ and empower a non political expert and PDQ. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Its true that Johnsons muscular unionism includes deliberately undermining of lthe devolved parliaments by things like M4 relief road offer and levelling up funds by-passing welsh govt. Truss the useless never even called Drakers or Comrade Nicola. Johnson and Rishi did so.

Closing all the cottage hospitals was a massive mistake, now we have rampant bed blocking, the knock on effect being into A&E and ambulance waiting times. Again, to "Labour" the point, who wants more politicians at a cost of 10 million (at least) per year? What we want is improvements to our daily lives, we don't need more Ms's to do that we need better civil servants and better management of public services.

| And they ask why Wales votes labour on 17:43 - Oct 26 with 697 views | trampie | The money doctors and consultants get in this country is obscene, a good start would be to get rid of lots of pen pushers within the service and give a big salary cut to high earning GPs, consultants etc as they are crippling the NHS. | And they ask why Wales votes labour on 13:46 - Oct 25 by krunchykarrot | Agree completely, the thing is he is tied to the Labour/Corbyn objectives. The tories are no better, we need a forward thinking party who can make a difference. We are a small devolved nation where change in the NHS should be paramount, following the cult like status where the NHS is beyond reproach is madness. Get someone in charge who cherry picks whats working and then changes/abolishes the insefficiences would be a good start. And before anybody accuses me of being a Tory i can assure you ive never voted for them in my life. We have recently got rid of local Labour party councillors in my area and the improvement has been immediate for all to see. |
If yiu had,it would be your democratic right to do so. This is what Some do not like. It means we are not a one party state although if anyone votes Tory ,to Jim,you are reviled . That should not be the case

| And they ask why Wales votes labour on 19:12 - Oct 26 with 607 views | trampie | What percentage of the millions and millions that go to the NHS go on wages ? I'm going to make a guess that it's something like 2/3rds, maybe 3/4s with Doctors and Surgeons wages taking a disproportionately high amount off that. If we didn't pay Doctors so much money then we would have more money for treatment/facilities. | |
