Swansea City go in search of their first win since beating Cardiff City (again)
The Referee for this game is Robert Jones from Liverpool, so the players had better calm down. Sorry but it’s the best we can do. Jones will be assisted by Ian Hussin and Natalie Aspinall, with Darren Bond the fourth Official for the game. Bond had lost his magical powers since he had his hair cut. Over the last 12 months Robert Jones has refereed 29 games, comprising 9 Championship games, 16 Premier League games, 1 Club Friendlies 1 game, 2 FA Cup games and 1 EFL Cup game. In addition he has been the Fourth Official 102 times. During this period he has issued 77 yellow cards at a rate of 2.66 per game and 2 red cards at a rate of 0.07 per game.
Joe Allen fit for Coventry but Obafemi continues to be a timely mystery 16th Dec 2022 14:30 Joe Allen is fit to face Coventry City tomorrow afternoon in the first Sky Bet Championship away game for the swans since drawing against Huddersfield Town five weeks ago. In that time two victories on a short tour of Scotland for the swans gave some hope before last weeks disappointing home loss to Norwich City.0
Coventry City not wary of Swansea at any level 17th Dec 2022 08:00 You can understand why Mark Robins and his Coventry City side are in no way apprehensive about this afternoons game against Swansea City. The sky blues are on a run of decent form and the swans really do need a win by any means necessary to get their season back on track.0
Jekyll & Hyde Swansea City but it’s still really not working …18th Dec 2022 08:00 Yesterday afternoons game may well have been thrilling for the neutral, and let’s be honest over the ninety minutes of football a win for the swans wouldn’t have been a surprise. Unless of course you refer to the three blinding saves in the first half from Steven Benda, the poor selection choices at the start from Russell Martin or indeed the sleepiness we again witnessed at the turnaround which put the swans 2-0 down.0

Whatever we fans may think and feel, it is clear that those who decide things are not sacking him. So our only hope is that RM learns fast. Start with Joe Allen ( fitness allowing ) and Oli. Plus allow Grimes to play with the shackles off. Won't happen I know but we can dream

What does it say about a manager, when you go down 3 nil down??? Some seriously wrong team selection in the first place? You haven’t done your due diligence on the opposition? You are so pig headed, that you will not take advice from anyone? So we’ve come back and drawn. It’s not the way to run a Championship football team, if you have Premiership ambitions. God help us if he blags a new contract.
Yep, Beginning to wonder do we have someone who watches our opponents before we play them?
Fair doos to Viktor he played a blinder, would be ideal for us. grit, determination, and full of running.

Martin cannot admit the teams he is selecting is wrong and unable to play the way he wants. It was not a good start to last week's or yesterday's game no matter how well he thinks we played intially.

Except for Fabianski, Joe Allen, Ben Davies, Fernández and Shelvey, Ayew ( both ) nd not forgetting loanee Guehi ? Just to name a few. This myth that players don't go on to have good careers after Swans is just that- a myth. Think I counted 9 ex Swans players at the WC Finals ?

Scott Sinclair, are you referring to the player who scored a hatrick at Wembley ?
Scott Sinclair 13 or so games for Man City.
And 100 for Celtic in four years.
I’m uncertain that’s a good example.

I clarified this in another post I was referring to his time prior to joining us.....Sinclair had spent time out on loan at other clubs but failed to shine then Brendan brought him here and things changed
Seems like a concerted effort here to bring Vetchie down......read the posts the qualifications are there....like Gyorkes floundered here Sinclair floundered at QPR and Birmingham ..
