| Coventry City v Swansea City 2022/23 : Matchday Thread 21:04 - Dec 12 with 18630 views | NotLoyal | Swansea City go in search of their first win since beating Cardiff City (again) The Referee for this game is Robert Jones from Liverpool, so the players had better calm down. Sorry but it’s the best we can do. Jones will be assisted by Ian Hussin and Natalie Aspinall, with Darren Bond the fourth Official for the game. Bond had lost his magical powers since he had his hair cut. Over the last 12 months Robert Jones has refereed 29 games, comprising 9 Championship games, 16 Premier League games, 1 Club Friendlies 1 game, 2 FA Cup games and 1 EFL Cup game. In addition he has been the Fourth Official 102 times. During this period he has issued 77 yellow cards at a rate of 2.66 per game and 2 red cards at a rate of 0.07 per game. PREDICT THE SCORE Just click on this old fashioned link. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/ Joe Allen fit for Coventry but Obafemi continues to be a timely mystery 16th Dec 2022 14:30Joe Allen is fit to face Coventry City tomorrow afternoon in the first Sky Bet Championship away game for the swans since drawing against Huddersfield Town five weeks ago. In that time two victories on a short tour of Scotland for the swans gave some hope before last weeks disappointing home loss to Norwich City. 0 Coventry City not wary of Swansea at any level 17th Dec 2022 08:00You can understand why Mark Robins and his Coventry City side are in no way apprehensive about this afternoons game against Swansea City. The sky blues are on a run of decent form and the swans really do need a win by any means necessary to get their season back on track. 0 Jekyll & Hyde Swansea City but it’s still really not working … 18th Dec 2022 08:00Yesterday afternoons game may well have been thrilling for the neutral, and let’s be honest over the ninety minutes of football a win for the swans wouldn’t have been a surprise. Unless of course you refer to the three blinding saves in the first half from Steven Benda, the poor selection choices at the start from Russell Martin or indeed the sleepiness we again witnessed at the turnaround which put the swans 2-0 down. 0 MORE WILL FOLLOW

Shouldn't he know that by now, he has played Ntcham and Paterson together before to poor effect but still persists.Unless Cooper has a niggle injury surely he must start.

Consistency is key. RM doesn’t seem capable of getting anywhere near. So frustrating because the good is clearly very good

He was mainly consistent in team selection from last week , that didn’t work then nor was it for 3/4s for this game

Last 20 was thoroughly enjoyable, especially against a very loud and vociferous home crowd. The ‘3 - 0, and you ****ed it up’ chant was great fun. I have no voice left!

It would depend on many things. His subs changed the game, but the game shouldn’t have been where it was when he changed the game. ðŸ’ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸

He constantly picks the wrong side and his tactics don't work. Wear the opposition out, then come on strong late on. That only works if you don't concede 3 goals whilst wearing the opposition out. Ntcham for some bizarre reason cannot and should not start a game for us ever. Cooper who is not exactly Messi, gives us energy and drive, yet RM leaves him out. This side is good enough to trouble the top 2, it's the sloppy goals, baffling tactics and square pegs in round holes that is doing my head in. How many games without a win now ?

the tactics that exposed Cabango and Wood throughout the first half without Benda we could have been 3 down at half time Martins selection was flawed our good winning run earlier in the season had Cooper starting and it is no coincidence we looked better today and last Saturday when he was on the pitch Martin is a fraud I've said it many times before and been called put for it on here...we rescued a draw from 3 nil down but we should never been in tha position....this man has no idea most of us supporters could pick a better starting line up and game plan tha thisso called professional....to be honest my thoughts at five past four were get out of my club get out of my club Russell Martin get out of my club and despite the result I still feel the same 7 games now without a win yet the last 20 mins shows what our players are capable off when selection and tactics are employed

When you say fraud, how does that equate with him as manager of Swansea ? Fraud : From immediate memory. You state he is making a dishonest representation for his own advantage or to cause another a loss. dishonestly neglecting to disclose information when he had a duty to do so.

| Coventry City v Swansea City 2022/23 : Matchday Thread 🔴 SATURDAY latest on 17:06 - Dec 17 by union_jack | Indeed, but I bloody well hope not. I’m giving him no credit at all for that draw. He started with the same old, same old. Passes going backwards safely rather than risking a forward pass. Too many passes around the back even when Coventry had committed to the high press. Balls should have been zipped through. Subs who in part should’ve started. He needs to go. We are going nowhere and I was perversely hoping at 3-0 that this would mean the end. Then that happened |
In a way,its unfortunate as it will ensure he stays in the job The team that ended should have started. Again, basic errors Again,IMO,bad coaching

I’ve never said I back him, just found his work ethic and desire to bring about a different way at our club as refreshing and at least gave us some hope, which I still think he could, but January matters. I just see hope as a more pleasant thing than unpleasantness. But I understand the frustration.

ethics and desire are good but ability scores above all of those and unfortunately Martin lacks that.....
