| Coventry City v Swansea City 2022/23 : Matchday Thread 21:04 - Dec 12 with 18650 views | NotLoyal | Swansea City go in search of their first win since beating Cardiff City (again) The Referee for this game is Robert Jones from Liverpool, so the players had better calm down. Sorry but it’s the best we can do. Jones will be assisted by Ian Hussin and Natalie Aspinall, with Darren Bond the fourth Official for the game. Bond had lost his magical powers since he had his hair cut. Over the last 12 months Robert Jones has refereed 29 games, comprising 9 Championship games, 16 Premier League games, 1 Club Friendlies 1 game, 2 FA Cup games and 1 EFL Cup game. In addition he has been the Fourth Official 102 times. During this period he has issued 77 yellow cards at a rate of 2.66 per game and 2 red cards at a rate of 0.07 per game. PREDICT THE SCORE Just click on this old fashioned link. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/ Joe Allen fit for Coventry but Obafemi continues to be a timely mystery 16th Dec 2022 14:30Joe Allen is fit to face Coventry City tomorrow afternoon in the first Sky Bet Championship away game for the swans since drawing against Huddersfield Town five weeks ago. In that time two victories on a short tour of Scotland for the swans gave some hope before last weeks disappointing home loss to Norwich City. 0 Coventry City not wary of Swansea at any level 17th Dec 2022 08:00You can understand why Mark Robins and his Coventry City side are in no way apprehensive about this afternoons game against Swansea City. The sky blues are on a run of decent form and the swans really do need a win by any means necessary to get their season back on track. 0 Jekyll & Hyde Swansea City but it’s still really not working … 18th Dec 2022 08:00Yesterday afternoons game may well have been thrilling for the neutral, and let’s be honest over the ninety minutes of football a win for the swans wouldn’t have been a surprise. Unless of course you refer to the three blinding saves in the first half from Steven Benda, the poor selection choices at the start from Russell Martin or indeed the sleepiness we again witnessed at the turnaround which put the swans 2-0 down. 0 MORE WILL FOLLOW

consider his bland and winless football is a contributory factor in many not renewing their season tickets leading to a drop in revenue putting further strain on our already beleaguered finances his mismanagement of the loanees will affect how clubs view us and SCFC may no longer be considered as a good club to send promising players to develop

Yeah all that means he's ruining the club, well there were well over a thousand at Coventry who say different, probably 10% of season ticket holders, yes a few might not renew for different reasons but the vast majority will renew for the reason we all watch the swans, a few not renewing isn't going to down the club. None of us know exactly why he doesn't play the loanees, they might not have the right attitude or be upto Martin's standards, we don't know, what I do know is PPL clubs view us highly as we try to play football on the floor, yes Martin is frustrating but it's why clubs want their kids to spend time with us and that isn't going to change.

Cameron Toshack is a good call. It would probably depend if he wants to be number one or is happy coaching. A turning point could be if the Leeds manager keeps his job. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Its all about opinions but the dissent against Martin is growing read the other forums....yes many will renew because we watch the Swans I for one will be but there are many who wont be....there were many empty seats at the Norwich game and in talking to some who were there they were planning not to renew..especially given the current financial squeeze. I have said it elsewhere there is a hard core but that hard core of 3 - 4 thousand which we had in the Vetch days will not be sufficient to see us survive it wasnt enough back then. Just think would it would mean if 25% of the season ticket holders didnt renew.....the loyal 1000 will not pay for a players wages! Martin's standards? I keep hearing this maybe he has unrealistic expectaions....what should the players be doing then? He messed up the two PL loaness we had last season and is not doing hos best with those here now....persevering with Lati out of position yet Finn Stevens fails to make the bench...the same with Ogebeta....that view PPL clubs hold may well be dwindling if their youngsters are not getting game time so how can you be so sure that wont change Never mind as long as we keep getting the fist pumps all is ok

Where do I say that? I didnt make myself clear .....if there was a 25% reduction in purchase of season tickets the loyal 1000 ( 10% according to FB) and the remaining 65% would make a dent....The loyal 1000 who he says are supporting Martin would not pay a players wages. My point was there will always be a loyal hardcore but that will not be enough to support the finances the current level of season tickets isnt. We attracted additional support as we played attractive football under the likes of MArtinez we got more when we got tothe PL.....yes plastics but thier money helped....support is falling away and the current brand of bland winless football is putting more off...for those of us who are diehards it is tolerable but to the average fan it is not.....its becoming less tolerable for me as is obvious form my posts

| Coventry City v Swansea City 2022/23 : Matchday Thread 🔴 POST MATCH on 19:03 - Dec 18 by Fireboy2 | Honestly who actually posts that he's the best manager we have had in long time? Just because some, sorry most people will give him time yet still comment on his deficiencies, you think that they all accept Martin as a great manager, no its because we are not PL fans, we know our place and we know we might never get promoted again but all we want is us to be competitive and for most we are competitive, we like most championship sides can beat most other championship sides, we cam also lose, yes its frustrating but ateotd we are swansea city, we are a championship side, get used to it. |
Think I am pretty level headed but I cant agree with you on this FB. I am no PL Swans fans (watched more games in L1&2 probably) & accept this is hard a division but the manager is not getting the best out of these players & the football we play for large parts of games bores me to death. I love possession based football when its played with urgency & passing forward something Martin's teams only do when we fall behind. Matt Grimes having 9000 touches in a game means nothing to me.

Reading FB's post re Coventry, the 1000 is certainly not 10% of our ST holders. Nor is only 10% of them ST holders. The travelling Jacks are certainly the most vociferous and committed of our fans. However why would 25% of our fans not renew. I would be surprised at 10% Like lots of other things in life, even when times are hard people find the money for what they enjoy

Is the continual selection of Grimes and the reluctance to sub him holding us back. IMO Grimes is a far better player than he gets credit for but we now have options in midfield Fulton, Ntcham and Joe to name just three, we need change it about a bit.

I use the word "enjoy" loosely. However for many it is not just a game of football. It is a social event, a chance to get out, relief from the pressures of work, etc Many of us curse the Swans, swear we are not bothering again yet like bad pennies turn up for the next game

I agree An away day is an event & the football can sometimes be seen as just the excuse to have a day out with the lads/wife/kids. Not many other reasons you'd spend over 100 notes to go to some shitehole a few hundred miles from where you live. I can barely manage to travel the 29 miles to watch the football served up at the Liberty of which I have paid in advance for.

Managers are fair game ,surely. Recall if you will that which Bradley received. Now reconsider that which you posters at me. Fans should “insult”,most do,apart from on some internet forums where it’s seen as heresy because we have to “ support”the coach no matter what . I find it incredible . You seem to have missed my eulogies over some past players so play fair.,eh. Right now, Benda is well wortH support with a new contract. I’ve not seen that much support at all for him on this site in that regard . Funny that Oil Cooper another to tie down for as long as possible and Jay Fulton too,a player dismissed effectively after two months into Martins reign .

Who has said anything against Benda since he was reintroduced? Not sure you will find one on here. Oli is doing well at the moment but it's early days. In fairness to Fulton he is doing really well at the moment. Difference between fair game and every post being anti - Martin. Change the record

Nobody should receive the abuse you often post, if it was a fellow poster IMO you would be banned. Just because it is against management past or present does not make it fair game.

Well that is the problem who ever comes in does not distract that we will still have these headers who own the club, so with these guys still running things it will be difficult for anyone to do really well here, but as long as it is is someone who is truthful tells it as it is and not a storytelling bullshitting excuse maker like Martin then i will feel a little better.
