The must win game, make no bones about it. There can be no other result.

Latvia v Wales : Latest & team news in crucial Euro qualifier 11th Sep 2023 12:46
Rob Page is in ‘must win’ territory, not mathematically but personally this evening as the Red Wall assembles in their thousands in Riga for this European qualifier in Group D. 0

Wales win and Rob Page gets another chance … Just 12th Sep 2023 07:00
Wales got the result they wanted in Riga as a 2-0 win and three points were the reward for an unnecessary hard nights work against Latvia. 0

Great goal by Brooks class move and class goal, there's a question as to whether Wilson should have been pulled up for a foul in the build up, but not seen or given by Ref so tough dooah's

As long as he keeps winning, he keeps his job.

Booting the ball as far as possible down the pitch for the lat 15 minutes is not in my opinion not the way forward. No player above league 2 should be proud to play like this.

Having said that 0-2 is a good result.

That was hard to watch, but no doubt ‘it was all about the result’.

Just having sharp one Nd hot dog

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Don't get me wrong Page should not be our manager and should have been sacked before now, but as long as he's winning he won't be sacked. When/if we get to the point we can't qualify, he will be gone.

Completely agree. He’s on borrowed time. Only qualification can save him. If he manages that from this position, he deserves to keep it.

Why are they trying trick shots when putting their laces through it would do?
Brennan is a class player but is not that natural goal scorer.
I would give a fit mullen a place in this team.

Did you mean Mullin or Cullen?

Mullin has been prolific for three years, but two of those were non league and the other was league two.

Brennan Johnson would score as many as he wanted in the national league.

I have to be honest I’m not convinced he’s the right fit and have harboured reservations for a while. The Euro game against the Dane’s was a great disappointment - I can accept losing to a better team but we were smashed and he didn’t seem to have any idea as to how to change and freshen things up to try and get back in the game. Our performances at the WC were dire and then we had the Armenia game in Cardiff.

We’ve lost our best players and are rebuilding, but I’m not convinced he’s the man. Oh how I’d love to be proved wrong - qualifying for the Euros would be immense.

I’d get rid of him the moment we’re effectively out of contention for the top two, which I think will happen and it may well be against Croatia.

There’s still the nations league route to fall back on. I’d rather someone else be in charge if and when it comes to that.

I saw the 0-4 v Denmark as a thorough ayuditing of the "Welsh way" ( PR guff). If t was true Page would never have been given a 4 year deal.

Cymru's passing is sub par and some players have been sloppy and careless despite being highly talented. Wilson for example and Dan James.

There are tremendous players for Wales Cymru beat the like of Finland and Bulgaria and Mexico but running at them hard. It is something Wales were strong at. Bale, Brooks, Wilson James, Johnson, Matondo. None of them are good possession players. (ex Bale of course).

Johnny williams was such a d good player for Wales because he ran at defenders with the ball. It is going out of fashion but like big centre forwards it is a distinguishing feature of the team.

The ideal coach is the one that can merge these talents. Watching Wales v Denmark 0-4 was painful. death by accurate passing. Out gunned and playing the wrong game.
