Should we change our name to the Welsh version? on 21:59 - Nov 28 by ReslovenSwan1
One more "dont know" will do it. A poll for Dinas Abertawe for the Women's team would have been a landslide with all 4 voting yes .

Landslides always lead to disaster . Right now, we have an article disembowelling any business acumen our owners might have, and this pitiful poll. We are on a downbound train. Abertawe v Cae Connah . It’s gonna happen
Looks like the 100th vote has been cast and the scores on the doors are as follows:- Dinas Abertawe 51 Swansea City 43 Don't know 3 Club name 2 Nickname 1

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

51% looks like a Brexit result, are you going to demand another vote?

That is a random thing to say to me, I've never demanded a Brexit re-vote (that's not to say I'm against a vote in the future but I've never expressed an opinion), not sure what Brexit has to do with this poll, what an odd post by you, I think you are mixing me up with another poster or something.

100 votes out of an average attendance of 16,500 say 15,000 after you discount the away support. This equates to a 0.66% turnout. 51 votes if favour out of 15,000 supporters says it all.

3 more.
Now a milestone of a hundred votes has been achieved does the result go to the club ?
In years to come this vote on this site could go down in history as the catalyst of a name change to Dinas Abertawe and it all would have started by a fans forum run by Keith Haynes, you could become famous Keith (even more famous).

It is good ro to see people are still voting to preserve our ancient and unique identity. I do not want o to overplay this result but it is yet another that indication that the Norman invasion project of 1066 has not been completed.
I represent a stand of opinion that cherishes both my Welsh identity and the history that has forged the United Kingdom.
Football represents a weekly opportunity to express our fighting and competitive spirit in face of the English cultural bulldozer which now includes global facets such as Asian and Caribbean influences. This is acquiring US ghetto speak and CNN phrases like "any time soon".
It is the bulldozer s leading to uniformity and assimilation. The flag men and and the wirral one say accept it as your fate as we are a "passive people" who "know our place".

Cymru am byth.
Ancient and unique . And that just about app,it’s to most nations on earth . What absolute garbage we are seeing now. Fully adult men obsessed with an insular ,sickening sentimental vision of the world . Make no mistake,to the rest of the world,Wales doesn’t not even exist and if it dies,it is seen as part of England, which ,in a way, it is .as for the rest, Wales is barely relevant to anything at all of note .

The American Declaration of Independence was written by a welshman. The USA is quite an important country.
Maybe we should make a bit more noise ….. sounds like the uk has let us down again.
The NHS is widely admired. Oh yes - and state pensions.
Its amazing what people who are not English can achieve.
Beware of the Risen People

You hate Wales I get it. It is a function of your upbringing I suspect. There is nothing sentimental about my patriotism. I cannot stand flag waving and anthems like your flag waving mates.
As I have explained to you i love Wales and a Happy to be British despite having no love for the Royal wasters and their media lackies.
You got out of the place you call a dump. We who stayed (in my case returned) are keen to improve it. I see you as another Swansea loser that does not respect his own history. There are far too many that think like you. You have done us a favour and left.
I will settle for Dinas Abertawe as the Women's team.

"I will settle for Dinas Abertawe as the Women's team." Have you asked the Ladies ?

Possibly a poll should be conducted by those who actually are connected and attend the women's matches instead. Surely this would have be more value than by those just trying to enforce their thoughts and ideas onto something that in all honesty is none of their business.

You don’t post personal then. You post like a demented clown bereft of everything except self awareness . I certainly do hate the Wales you seek to inflict on others though . Why not DM me and have a go and save this site from the drivel .

So exchange with me if yiu want to have a go. It’s no threat ,it’s an invitation. Res is a Trust hater, who has hammered my city of origin more than any poster and now you love him because his pitiful anti English agenda suits yours . Irony
I think that some of those supporting the motion are only doing so are to make the user feel better in them selves because they're too lazy to learn the language and converse in it in the appropriate setting..

Its just my opinion, often you read certain rabid nationalists drop in the odd Welsh word within a sentence , to me it should be all or nothing IMO. Don't get me wrong I love the thought of a Welsh language thriving but what I don't like is it being used as a tool ,by a tool.

Indeed. My grandparents spoke welsh because that’s how they were brought up,being Cardies . I was brought up English speaking and had welsh chucked upon me at school. The most unpleasant exchanges on here revolve around the bluddy language . You could kick a kitten into the canal and get less grief
