Should we change our name to the Welsh version? on 15:52 - Nov 26 by KeithHaynes
It’s always worth gauging the fans perspective, regardless if you are on side or another.
No end of reassurances that the poll contributors have been vetted will convince me that that is a true representation of the feelings of Swansea City fans. In fact, it wouldn’t even be close.
If we are going to make feelings known to media outlets, let’s concentrate on something we are (mostly) all in agreement with and that’s the discontent with the ownership of the club. That’s what needs to be discussed widely not something that will detract from that, something that will never ever happen.

I would suggest a look at the yes Cymru Swansea accounts on Twitter. I disagree with the change of name, but there should be no negative vetting of the poll. Every vote has been looked at for the integrity of every poll. 26 dismissed on this occasion.

Whether we like it or not.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

You can see the press headlines now.
Swansea City in turmoil on and off the pitch and they think changing their name will solve their problems.

And what would yes cymru Facebook page tell me Keith? Obviously they’d be in favour of it, that’s meaningless.
As I said earlier, don’t let this meaningless poll detract from the far more serious issues at hand. Flood the media with discontent emanating from incompetent ownership, get them involved, make the yankers think that they have to be more mindful of fan buy-in or face the consequences. That’s what’s really important.

Be interesting to see how many people voted in the poll rather than just percentages

Playing at the Yankee Stadium.
I think the plan was to get funding for the Swnsea.com stadium as a German Car firm. If in the Premier league this would have happened. Levien negotiated a deal with Audi for sponsorship of the DC United Stadium.
The German would effectively have pay for the 10,000 extra seats with a 10 year deal. Levien has skills and contact which I respect.
DC U have Audi for millions. Swansea have Swansea.com which is part of the Morgan group. The Americans are smart business people. We have more chance with them than with a local group. I seem alone in being excited by the future. I am comfortable with that.

1000+ common sense fans run the Trust. Their performance shows their common sense and it has performed lamentably. This includes a deeply unwise legal case lasting 6 years and £400,000 paid to agencies and lawyers.
N one has apologised. No one cares. Best to shut it down.
