The point is there is little or no difference between the Conservatives and Labour, they both offer the same neoliberal policies. Reform are also more of the same with even more extreme neoliberal policies, to vote for any of those three parties and things won't change. |  |

I did a bit of a search. Not much i'll admit. But one thing I came across was about her 'Illegal Migration Act' which actually was passed into law in 2023, ie not blocked by Labour or anyone. She pledged at the time that her act would stop the boats. She pushed this one through after Priti Patel's previous effort failed. She said "This government, this Prime Minister, will act now to stop the boats."
Since then almost 101,000 people have crossed the channel on small boats.
So she failed dismally. |
The many reasons her immigration act failed was because of the 1951 Refugee act which her own party and Labour would not even consider changing at the time also the UK supreme court also would not allow it to bear fruitation due to the ECHR and we all know Starmer and his cronies stance on the ECHR, so she was hitting her head against a brick wall.at the end of the day all our illegal immigration problems are down to the Tories and Labour we need rid of both and maybe we can rectify things I am not saying we can but the longer this Labour Government lasts the harder it is going to be to recover from the damage will have caused. It is, but even if they did it would take years for benefits to be noticed. Ironically the most immediate and biggest success is the reduction in immigration, associated enforcement and legislation.
They should be shouting about this from the roof tops but that would infuriate part of the party.

It is very frustrating uj when politicians do that, I agree.
Having said that I do accept that whatever party is elected they inherit the previous government's legacy and it has to be acceptable to refer to that for a time. The question is for how long.
The Conservatives complained about what they inherited from Labour for fourteen years. And i've even heard some still do that now while in opposition.
Labour have been doing it for two years.
